I've read the article on T-mag, and the creator of ZMA was being interviewed. His advice was to take around 10.5mg of b-6, because if you take too much it can keep you awake.

Also, don't take too much zinc, taking too much is just as bad as taking too little!

Just to comment I have been having weird dreams on the wholemade zma stuff I bought. For instance running with the bulls, floating fish that are all in straight lines...(the fish one was like twighlight zone)

The interesting thing about noticing your dreams is that you tend to remember dreams/be aware of them if you are having them while regaining consciousness. On the whole, each of us will have 5 - 8 dreams a night anyway, its just the ones we wake during that we remember. So I don't think the ZMA is changing your dreams, but it might well be changing your sleep pattern such that you are regaining consciousness in the middle of one. I wish some psychologists would do some experiments related to this - I'm not sure what effect ZMA has on noradrenaline or other sleep-related hormones, but it surely must be doing something.
