Well all seems to be back on track. I lost a lot of strength, yet again, but am back in the swing of things.

In spite of all and the inconsistant workouts I did weigh this morning and am back up to 190lbs. yeah, I know most of that is water but we all know that water filled muscles are stronger and will help make better gains.

The most wonderful thing happened. Kimberly actually got to see the full force of an MS exacerbation that led to pneumonia and almost to inability to walk. She's still here. What a wonderful person she is. Really motivating me to eat and get my butt in the gym.

I have made a slight change to my workout plan. Instead of lifting EOD. I'm lifting 3 days on with one off.

Squat, dead, bench, and row are EOD. Then the "mirror muscles" are on one of the in between days...the other in between day is off. Seems to be working well. Also back to the 5x5/HST combination of ramped sets, progressive resistance with EVERY workout heavier than the one before, and full body workouts. At least that's how my core plan works...the mirror stuff is just an extra day that I can take or leave.

The reason for the change is because I don't have the endurance to do it all in one day.

Andy look up Jay cutler a new breed body builder, Dense thick and f--king big.
His workouts can be downloaded free on ares galaxy file swap.

Thanks Mick. Sorry, haven't been online or checked my mail in a while. Kim was sick and I stayed at the hospital with her for a week. All good now, still training, and a bit of time for being online.

Thank you LiftGirl. She did get better and got to come home. Today she feels pretty bad though, mostly just really tired. It took a lot out of her. She will be fine though. It will just take some time to recover. Respiratory failure takes a lot out of a person. Taking care of her Sunday night was the only time I've ever actually been scared in the back of an ambulance in 18 years of service. Then Monday at the hosptial was even worse. But on the mend now so all will be fine.

Sounds awful! I'm glad to hear she's home and feeling better (well kinda).

Update to training and diet for this. As always my goals are ever changing. Now I've got to look my very best by October. However, since this was my idea...I'm following through. Been eating a serious bulking diet, and yes gaining more fat than I'd like...as the pics from the beach last week have totally proven. Will switch to very low carbs/10 cals/lb in April.

Training methods have changed slightly as a nod (or cop out, or give in...or whatever) to my ancientness.

Still doing 3 days on/1 day off.
Day 1 is squat, dead, bench, row.
Day 2 is leg press, lat pulls, overhead press, curls, skull crushers, and crunches.
Day 3 is a repeat of day 1...just heavier.

I am giving in to age by using the smith machine for squats and doing leg presses instead of more squats...gotta be safe you know.
