Contest Thread .v.

See, I told everyone that I was going to be fat and pale when this started. Lots of room for improvements.
Avatar on the left = me 7 months ago.
These pics show what 7 months of crappy diet, and spotty workouts with multiple injuries will do for ya.
Next pics will show what can be done with hard work, dedication, and some real motivation.
Training will be HSST - HST style with 5x5 progression plan EOD.
Cardio is biking and running. E4
Nutrition will be 20 calories/lb 60% fat, 35% protein, 5% carbs M-F then cheat like there is no tomorrow all weekend. If I make it to 200lbs then calories will bump up to 25/lb.
This will be from Dec until March 1. March and April will be cutting months. No cheats, strictly 60/35/5 every day @ 10 cals/lb.
Can I gain 20lbs without getting fat and without drugs in 6 months? IDK. We gonna see.
Current stats:
Age 38
Ht 6'0"
Wt 186lbs in tri briefs

Andy, I'm disappointed!!
You are still reading that USA Today newspaper. What's wrong with the local newspaper, not enough town gossip?
I'm cheering for you as you chase your goals. I've read your prior posts and I know how on a roll you can get with your eating and training, so I'm looking forward to reading your posts and cheering your on.

from what I have read, you seem to be a master at controling your weight and overal BF%. I think you have a very good chance of winning this little competition andy, better than me for sure.
whats worse for me though is that I slipped on some ice a few days ago and because of this I am now suffering from what is known as "testicular torsion" wich might I add is about the most painfull thing I think has or ever will happen to me (makes me thankfull for all the time i'm at 100% though).
so you can see I am not off to the most agressive start to this competition, but I assure you I will be in the gym asap. right now I am doing a great job eating food and taking pain medication though. ya just got to do the best with what ya got a guess..
anyways, good luck!

Master? Hardly. But thanks. I did fatten up a little (maybe too much?) on purpose so I'll have some energy to spare for hard training and effective cardio. And I don't like to be cold in the winter so this year I will be somewhat better insulated.
Also I do like to experiment to see how things will go. This winter I will be doing a true, hardcore anabolic diet to see how I do with massive eating and shooting for some serious drug free gains. Will I succeed? Not a clue, but I will give it my best.
My friend and my daughter are joining me in this but one is camera shy and the other is too young to join the forum and take part. I will of course update you on their progress or lack of it too.

Thanks bodyshop. Sadly, my training is really sucking right now. Work is really busy. EMS no longer stands for Earn Money Sleeping. We are actually running calls for most of our 48 hours these days. Spending time with my kids is cutting into it. Really wanting to spend a lot of time with Kimberly so the training is pretty bad. I've had to switch back to HST to even get any workouts in. One set/workout out in 30 minutes.
Now if I could just remember to eat.

OYG my workouts are still sucking. No new injuries, just not much in the way of results do to lack of consistancy. However, for a couple of weeks I've been hitting it every other day like I should.
The holidays interfered because I needed to make them good for my little girl. Then there was some partying...not a good idea for contest prep. Work as always is in the way but I know how to get around that.
Somehow ended up with a girlfriend, still don't know how that happened because I sure wasn't looking. She takes up a great deal of my time. The guilt issues involved there do mess with my head a little though and interfere some. But since I wasn't looking and neither was she and we both just ended up being friends then it became more I guess it's ok and will all work out in the end.
She should have joined the contest though, she wanted to join me in the gym and even though her nutrition is way off track...she's looking great.
My training is off track but my nutrition is going just right...when I remember to eat that is.
End result so far...I'm not cutting yet but the abs (if you want to call them that) are starting to show again. Not gaining or losing weight, just maintaining right around 180. Looking a little better but not great yet. Way too pale though.
Missing today's workout because I've got theater tickets 3 hours from home, but the Westin has a gym so I'll get something tonight and in the morning.

Enjoy life Lovebird and train when you can. I've been wondering what you have been up to. Nice to see you dropping postings here and there.

Guilt, schmilt. I know, easier said than done, but that's why friends need to point it out. I'm glad you're letting your life go on.
The holidays weren't too productive for me, either, but social needs are more important than individual needs during those times.

Well the Westin gym sucked so I didn't bother. My head sucked after doing shots of rum with coors light chasers too...so I didn't bother. However I've got to say that the westin is great, not $400.00 a night worth of great, but still great. The sundial is great, not $150.00 for dinner worth of great, but still great.
CATS was awesome. Yeah, $300.00 worth of awesome...no doubt. Next time it's in Atlanta I'm taking the kids to see it too.
And P. Remember the woman I told you about @ thanksgiving...the one I met at Halloween? Yeah, it's her. And yeah we still look good together. If you wanna know more, check out the pics on myspace or give me a call.
