Pseudonym; on the improve

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury; here's me in all my ignominy:

BEFORE

182cm tall and weighing in at around 73kg.

AFTER
we'll just have to wait and see.

Training plan: much the same as I have been doing, mostly Crossfit, likely with more Oly lifting thrown in. Greater attention will be paid to diet; gonna get me in the Zone.

Goals: weigh in at 77+kg with a similar (if not slightly lower fat) body composition. Greatly improve athletic work capacity.

Edit: I'm not going to record a special 'comp training journal' here: for anyone that's so inclined all my doings will go into my current training log.

Hey, thanks for posting up. You've set some very reasonable and achievable goals here. I'm going to really enjoy watching the progress to see what cross fit can do in the before/after routine with a "normal" person. This is going to be great.

Great start Mate, I'll be following your journal and cheering for you to place 1st in the Aussie division.

Do you still train TKD?

heh heh even if no other AUssies entered I'm sure I'd still find a way to come in second

I've not trained TKD at all this year, time and financial constraints I'm afraid. I'm toying with the idea of starting again but I'm a bit taken with kickboxing/grappling at the moment (having done a bit recently at work) so I might give my local MMA school a look in and see if I like it.

Just one more thing I'd love to have the time for I spose haha.

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I'll keep ya'll posted.

can't figure out how to edit my attachments so here is the newspaper close up that I neglected to include at the start.

Bit blurry and the lights pretty average but I think we can all see the date OK; sorry 'bout the delay - I forgot about the need for a closeup .

Here it is - a day late but better that than never eh?

Before: 182cm @ 73kg

After: 185cm @ 72kg

Gaining height and losing weight was not part of the plan!!! ... I honestly can't say I see much difference; though I am a bit fitter now than I was in Nov last year (and maybe my back has widened a little from all the pullups and Kettlebell work?)

This was fun!!

Definitely some improvement in the quad department. Hey looks like you are standing on your tippy-toes in the after photo. I think I have solved the growth-spurt.

Yeah, all the hard work is paying off. You are fitter. Your quads definitely look to be improved. Now, all you gotta do is keep doing the hard work to keep the good habits you've developed for the rest of your life.
