Blood Pressure
I'm new and intent on returning to the fitness I used to enjoy. There is a health campaign in the UK that is promoting the use of home blood pressure monitors to check your BP regularly.
What should the blood pressure readings be for a reasonably fit person?

I think 140/90 is considered high and 120/60 is ideal.

They used to say 120/80 was healthy, but now they're saying 110/70 is healthy. According to http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/medi...d-pressure.htm 140/90 and above is hypertension 90/60 and above (to 140/90) is normal Below 90/60 is hypotension It takes only one number to be in the hyper or hypotensive region. So, 100/50 is hypotensive and 150/80 is hypertensive.

115/75 is ideal too low too high is a problem. Too low can be spotted by high pulse on standing too at times feeling dizzy esp during training or just standing still

I have low blood pressure. 90/50 isn't out of line for me. Some times it bothers me, other times it doesn't. If it's not causing you problems, don't worry about it.

I think it varies between people as well. My blood pressure has always been around 125-135/75-80 even when I was 340 lbs and I'm 230 now. It wason the higher end of that range, but now on the lower end...
My sister weighs 102 lbs and is in superb shape (has abs) and her blood pressure is around yours...I think it's fine. Nothing in this world is exact. What do doctors know anyway?
