Most definitely. Lifting only 3x a week allows me at least a full day's rest between each session, which I wasn't getting with a split. The full day's rest really helps me mentally get into each session more.

I also feel that I make faster progress doing all the major lifts three times a week and not messing around with the ones that aren't as important (or as fun).

One more thing I like is that it gives me 2 or 3 days a week to do 45-minute cardio sessions for a little more endurance (especially now that my asthma is finally feeling reasonably well-controlled). After weights, I only do 20 minutes, and that's not likely to change.
