yeah!

Hi Rudolph,
I want to start off by saying welcome to the site. I know that many people are in the same situation that you are. Gyms are expensive. Also, if you are starting off, then you may not feel comfortable working out around so many people. There are so many exercises you can do with a stability ball, a mat, a step band, and a pair of dumbells. Altogether I would say that all those things cost the same amount as a one month gym membership. I created an interactive exercise video blog where I use just those things because I know that many people have limited time and funds.

Here are some things you can do for strength using these things

chest-db press, pushups, press with rope
triceps-dips, kickball, pushups, backwards pushup on bench
shoulders-side raise with step band, db overhead press
back-rope pulley, core exercises on ball
biceps-db curls, curl with step band
legs-sqauats, lunges, calf raises, side kicks
abs-crunches, leg lifts with ball, planks

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me.

Have a wonderful day!

Body weight movements are great. Squats, lunges, push ups, planks, and sit ups are all great basic movements. Utilize equipment in a local park as well for rows on the monkey bars, step ups and push ups on benches, and sprints and jumps once you get stronger.
This style of training is great to get your heart rate up as well. You will see gains quickly so be sure to change up your routine after 2 or 3 weeks.
Check back here for some advice!
