Knocked out of action! :*( What to do?

I was working out three days ago, doing well on my P90 plan and working out with my new set of 20 pound dumbells, when I get to my dips, which I've done for almost 2 months.

As I'm doing the last two, I feel this twinge on the inside of my pec on rep 6-7, which hurts when I do it the 8th time. Just along the inside of the pec, in the breastbone. Right pec.

I stopped and since it was the end of the work out, I figured it was ok. I gave myself the next day off, slathered it up in Icy Hot and took an Aleve(which really works for muscle pain, let me tell you). The next day it really hurt and I had a hard time moving my arm in certain directions. Took the day off like I said, and then I took the next day(now I'm two days short on my work out. ).

I figured I'd be ok after two days and while my pec doesn't hurt as badly today, it still has that twang on the inside of the pec which hurts sometimes.

Should I give it some few more days? Am I destroying everything I've built or will 4-5 days off of rest be fine for me to recoup.

Help.

These little things are nothing more than hiccups in your journey towards superfitness.

I suggest you continue to march forward and work around your injury. You may not be able to do the exercises that aggravate your injury, and you should not. But the rest of your body is fine so think and train outside your normal training box and keep the pedal to the metal!

I wouldnt even call it an injury dude.. When you do dips, depending on how foward of a lean you have, it does hit the sternum portion of your pecs.. People say theres no way to hit just the middle or just the outside... yes the F there is... dips definatelyy get the middle... Mine are sore every time I do them, and your right it hurts to movemy arms and alot of stuff, but like pierini says, just work around it. Im not sure if p90 is a full body workout or what, but if it is... just skip the dips but continue with the rest.
