Back Injury

Hoping for some insight into a back injury I collected this week. On monday, after my squat workout, did barbell presses and went to do pendlay rows. Back felt stiffer and less flexible than usual, which I thought was wierd. Anyhoo, did the rows. The next day, back was a teeny bit sore, more than usual. And later on tuesday night when sleeping, I felt a tinge of pain as I was moving my legs around, I chalked it up to randomness.
Did the workout on wednesday (squats/deadlifts), back definitely was stiffer, even at the beginning; and later after the workout there was pain in certain positions, and a lot of soreness. Two days later, its improving, but still pain, and I'm curious what happened.

A typical thing which hurts now is as follows: I am sitting in chair. Not much pain, or even no pain. I extend my legs and try to lift up my right leg, medium pain. If I bend my right leg and lift, no pain. No pain on left leg.
I am thinking it might be related to hamstrings or gluteal muscles? The pain is quite low in the back

The spine is very complex and the pain can appear to come from one area yet its another place where the actual injury is.
I have had back probs for years after many sessions of over heavy squats and Deadlifts, If yr back is playing up i suggest a switch from T bar to dumbbell one arm row, Squats for hack machine squat (Leg press so lower back is protected) and leg extensions.
ONce you injure the spine its very rare you will get back to 100% so be careful and rethink the workouts.

The reason the pain can come from one area and its from another place is because the nerves in the back is widely distributed rather than a bunch of nerves everywhere. So the pain can come from one section of the back but the central nerve to it is somewhere else.
