A 5:00 ab plank is one amazing chore, congrats big time from me on that one.

We have a thread titled Holds or something like that for people to post their PRs. You should find it and post your achievement as that is absolutely awesome.

My best is 4:14 and I know I couldn't do that right now. I know from doing it, however, that it seems like eternity so you definitely have a strong mind.

Keep training!

Sorry I couldn't do yesterday or todays workout. Yesterday I was skating at the new skatepark in my neighborhood for 7 hours straight. I left to go there at 10(usually the time I start my workout) stayed til 12. Hanged out with a friend at my house till 1, then went back to the park til 6. My shoulders are very sore, and so are my legs due to the amount of falling. It was sprinkling outside so I slipped a lot.

Alright I had to go to Dallas Monday so I missed my leg workout and my chest workout which was scheduled for tuesday. Although the gym at the hotel was available for 13 year olds so I went for 30 minutes with my mom and during this time I went on the first treadmill I've ever been on and had a fast speed with a bit of a incline. The reason I started so fast is because I didn't have much time and wanted to work on my chest and legs since I missed those days. For Chest I did some dumbell presses because they didn't have any free weights, and for legs I ded one of those leg press machines(I think they're called that) I did 3 sets for each exercise.

This morning was a back workout and all I did was bent over rows 45/50/55 pounds and dumbell rows 18/23/28(The last one was real tough but I did 4 reps). I dont know of any back exercises so if you have one please tell me. Also today when I was done with the bent over rows I put the 55 pound bar back on the rack and then decided to do a little bit more chest/leg workout. So I did 5 reps of 55 pound bench press and 10 reps of 55 pound squats.

That's all I have for today

Do you have access to a pullup bar?

No I don't but I wish I did a lot of people have been requesting that I try doing pull ups. Also some more good news is at my local rec center I can take this tour of the gym and learn how to workout properly(Which I already know how) and if I do a good job on that even I will be allowed to workout at the gym with a parent.

Alright today I worked arms and abs
starting with a straight bar curls(35/40/45)
Then Dumbell Curls (8/13/18)
Moving on to Tricep Presses (35/40/45)

Then I got a headache which I still have, but it is going away and if it's gone during the show I'm watching in two hours then I will do the ab exercises during commercials.

Also thx to those who voted me in the WWE biggest fan video(link is in my sig.). The contest ends tonight at midnight so it's still not to late!

Hey guys I'm back on track

This monday I go to take a gym class so I can work out at my dad at a really nice gym with free weights and machines.

I think sometimes I dont feel like working out because I guess you can call my equiptment "Ghetto" or whatever but it's not bad. It's out in a dirty garage, and it was 90 dollars for everything and the clips that hold the weights usually get stuck while taking them off. At the gym that wont be a problem.

Today is my chest/ab day and my dad spotted me through out my chest workout which made it a lot quicker.

Bench Press weights 50(5 reps)/ 55(5 reps)/ 60(4 reps)
Inclined Bench Press weights 45 (5 reps)/ 50 (4 reps)/ 55 (3 reps)

Also did 30 crunches
30 Atlas pushups( The second version displayed in the newspaper)

And I will post my ab plank hold times later(I usually do them while I watch TV because I do 3 sets I might get tired/bored of doing them if I have something to watch I'm able to do it longer and not think about it as much.

Yesterdays attempt at the ab plank hold was pathetic I only got like a minute twenty seconds.

Todays workout was tough, but fun. Started with Military Presses which the weights were 35/40/45

Then Powercleans which were 40/45/50

And then finally deadlifts at 70/75/80

The reason I didn't do the upright rows is because I didn't feel like I was doing them right and my arm hurt a bit while doing it.

Today I have band camp(at 10:00 usually when I start my workout) so I just decided to do it now. I have to leave soon so I didn't do the full workout, but I did most of it.
Bent Over Rows
. 45
. 50
.55

And when I was putting the bar up on the rack I did the heaviest power clean I've ever done at 55 pounds. I also did dumbell bent over rows only with one set of 18 pounds each dumbell.

Tommarow(Monday) is a big day for me. I get to go to the nicest gym in round rock with my dad and this guy there will show me around the gym and sort of test me to see if I'm mature enough in a weight room to be able to go even though I'm not at the 16 minumen age limit. This is going to be great because my Dad goes a lot and now I'll get to go with him. Also even better then that is I no longer have to work out in a dirty garage with a 90 dollar bench set. OF course in a couple of years I'll look back at these dirty garage weight lifting days and laugh.

Well today I arrived at the gym. When I got their my dad bought me this fairly expensive membership, and then this man named Vince took me around. First he showed me some of the cardio machines(Treadmill, bike's, that stuff) and and then he moved on to the weight machines. They felt wierd, not what I was used to. After this I was show the "free weight" thing where you put the weight on and then you rotate this bar so it's no longer hooked on to this thing and then you can deadlift, squat, pull a bench to lay on and bench press or whatever. It's like this so if you screw up you won't get crushed. I guess it seemed cool, but this would mean I would have to modify my workout because although they have tons of machines the free weight things they only have two of. Then in the back they have some dumbells. I don't know if I really want to start going to the gym, since although my garage is dirty and I may not have the most expensive weight set. I've still grown used to it and have had this Max-ot routine going on for a while. I've been seeing slight results come in, and I don't know if Machines will do the same. But I don't think I can get a refund for my membership to this rec center, and if I can't then it will suck when I tell my dad I don't want to go anymore. Which will mean it was a big waste of money.

That is called a smith machine. Yeah, you don't get hurt but it also controls your range of motion. I would only use it until you are comfortable with your moves. Then switch to the free weights.

Use all dumbbells if they go high enough in weight. Bench, squat, deads, military press, St Leg Deads, Rows, etc. all with dumbbells.

Actually nevermind my dad is making me go to the gym this week since he got me that year membership. The main argument is that he says that machines are just as affective as free weights. When I argue to him about it, he'll say something like "Pro wrestlers use machines also"

Which Machines should I be using if any, and there's a lot of dumbells but only 2 smith machines so I'll use the dumbells if there's nothing else I can do.
