Even though I know a 315 bench is childs play to some of they guys on the fourm, I was quite proud to make it to 300 since I could only bench 165 when I started. I can also remember when I could only do 9 pushups! Ha, and those were not very good form, because my big fat belly hit the ground before my chest ever had a chance. It's funny now.

Today I did legs, decided to lay off the squats today and focus more on extensions and calf raises. Also did three sets on the leg press. Had no hip problems today.

It's Friday, and I am gonna cheat a little today on the diet. I am tracking my weight, and when it really stalls out, I will lighten up on the cheat day, and focus a little more on the cardio and diet. My weight loss seems to have slowed down, which is good cause I was a little worried at first, it was just coming off too fast. I am sure it was from all the salty high carb food that I dropped out of the diet.

: That's an educated response to speedy weight-loss ... in contrast to the disappointment that might be expressed by a newbie. Enjoy your mini-cheat today.

Dude, I have read a little about your diet - you know - if you are moderate with it, pizza is a good ketogenic weight loss food - just eat the toppings and toss the crust. There is also sugar free controlled carbohydrate ice cream out there. I use it on my "pretending to cheat" day. Since I don't really cheat, I find substitutes to pretend with. I don't know if these will fit into your plan or not, but it might be fun to try it.

But then agian, why am I making suggestions to you - I've looked at your pics - you know a hell of a lot more about this stuff than I do.

I'll take suggestions from anyone, I have learned through the years, that no matter how much you know (or think you know), you dont know it all. I will keep your suggestions in mind. But for right now, I am still able to have a real cheat day once per week. But when my weight loss stalls, I will change it up a bit to get it started again.

Cool, I wish I could have a REAL cheat day - it just don't work that way for me though. Enjoy your "day off" when you do it. :

I wouldn't blame your cheat day on stalling. Have you tried dropping your claories by another 100-200 a day? Mayb ethat will do it?

I guess though, the more lean you are, the more a cheat day could be trouble, but it shouldn't be causing you to completely HALT.

I have a theory about taking ONE cheat day a week. I personally do not think it affects a person at all as far as fat loss. As long as you are strict the other 6 days, it's a thing of beauty and I think your body wants to just get rid of the "invading junk food" for one day. Any more than 1 day then it starts to go back to storing fat.

This is just from over a year of doing it. And belive me, my cheat days are TERRIBLE lol. I eat at least 7000 calories , up to 10000 in a cheat day, and still lose 2-3 lbs a week consistently. But, that's with being 23-40% BF range (23% the lowest i been). Getting to the low teens things might change. I guess We'll see .

It does change a little when you get into the lower body fat ranges, I had to change my plan to one or two cheat meals on Friday, instead of a whole cheat day. Toward the end of my last cut, I stopped having any type of cheat for about a month.

I dont really have any idea how low I managed to get my body fat. I really wanted to have a set of abs, but either I didn't get the body fat low enough, or there is still a lot of loose skin in the way, but I know I had my body fat pretty low, because I had veins all over my body.

Currently my plan (for when weight loss stalls) is to start doing 3 days of cardio per week and on those days adjusting my calorie intake by 200 calories or so. When this stalls, I will change my cheat "Day" to three cheat meals in a day, the last step will be to do away with almost all cheats and do 5 days of light to moderate cardio in the mornings and weights in the afternoons.

Today I did arms and upper back.
Still haven't lost much strength, during my last cut I got pretty weak numbers on some of my lifts.

Legs today!
They hurt. My squats sucked, must not have warmed up enough, started having the usual hip problem.
Leg extensions were great, finished them with two sets of 6 with 250lbs.
Calf raises were great also, finished them with two sets of 8 at 460lbs.
But squats sucked, couldn't go above 225 with my sets because of the hip.

Cardio today!
Ate too much this weekend.
Weighed in at 207 again this week.
Two weeks at 207 calls for a change, I will increase my cardio a little, and cut more of my carbs out at night.
