I'm keeping track of what I've eaten during the day, but nothing like fitday or anything I just don't have time for that. I was thinking of posting it here actually.

Like today so far:

Breakfast - miniwheats
snack (about 3hrs later) 2 granola bars
lunch - ham and swiss sandwich from timmies, and large coffee - 2 cream 1 sugar
Snack (In about an hour)- granola bar
Dinner - hotstuffs (tsk tsk) peanut butter and jam sandwich
Chocolate - one of those cadbury slim things - they're like 100 calories - DH bought it so I ate lol. But I told him no more!
I did have a drink last night which is a very rare occurence since I'm still breastfeeding. So also 1 drink of chocolate chip liqueor!

I'm cheering for you Amanda.

Just think of all the extra real food you can eat if you eliminate the cakes, cookies, candies, chocolate, ice cream, crackers, and sodas. Give it a week and it will become alot easier.

You are doing great Amanda! I'm with pierini eliminating the cackes, cookies, candies etc will make a big difference and it will come a lot easier after a week. Or maybe atlesast start eliminating them during the week and treat yourself on teh weekends. I bet once you minimize the sugar intake you won't crave it much.

Pierini chocolate is next to go. Sadly. I use to eat a ton of it before I went back to the gym about 5 years ago, and I'm on that path again! So no more.

June 4th

Run outside - 2.9miles about 35min I think. Didn't notice the exact time when I left so between 30-35 min. Awesome day for a run! Plus my son is in daycare at the moment and I didn't have to push the stroller for a change!

Didn't record food yesterday, but didn't eat anything "bad"

Today:

breakfast - whole wheat bagel with strawberry light cream cheese
Snack - peanut butter and jam sandwich
lunch - grilled cheese sandwich with ham
snack - a couple bowls of cheerios
dinner - pork chop, rice with beans and potatoes, mixed frozen veggies

(I made cookies but didn't sample them Plus I only tasted the tiniest bit of batter which is my favourite part of baking lol)

Hi Amanda,

You are doing great with your workout progress. Can I offer a suggestion about your food? (Of course I can) Cut down on so much grain based food during the day.

An average bagel is 2.5 servings of bread, you get 2 more in each sandwich then there is the cereal and the granola bars. Could you sub in some trail mix or nuts for some of those? Or a low sugar yogurt , maybe plain with fresh fruit? Even half an avocado would be good. I don't think you should worry about a little chocolate when you feel you need 3 granola bars to satisfy the hunger. A hard boiled egg and piece of chocolate would be better!

Just some suggestions.

hmmm thanks for the suggestions brat! I was actually planning on picking up some yogurt for my lunches instead of always sandwiches, and making wraps instead of using bread..... Forgot all about the hardboiled egg lol. Good idea!

WARNING WILL BE LONG!!

Well obviously haven't been on in a while. I started work on the 12th of June I did run the week before that 3 times outside, but no weight workouts. I haven't made it in to the gym until last night since starting work - gotta get a routine going! But I have been hiking in the mountains every weekend which is a good workout! Our last hike was 950 ft up Tunnel Mountain. Awesome hike, and view, then we did an easy 3K along a river (all this is with me carrying my son of course he's 22lbs).

I have lost weight since I'm eating way better, and it's more controlled on when I can eat. My diet has basically been cereal for breakfast - 1 bowl, granola bar and fruit for snack, sandwich for lunch, granola bar and fruit for snack, and then normal dinner like steak, veggies, and a side of some sort. I've cut back on my dinner portions as well, and no snacking before bed. I've lost wieght. I don't know exactly how much, but a pair of pants I bought a while ago in anticipation of losing weight I am now wearing I have had no ice cream cookies crackers etc. until today. Today is ice cream day at work and I'm going to have some lol.
