April 12th

Warmup - 3 min on stationary bike
Tiger Moves - medium intensity 7 reps

50 Furey Squats
Lower body Stretches - hamstrings/Quads
15 Furey Pushups
50 Furey Squats
Lower body Stretches - hamstrings/Quads
15 Furey Pushups
50 Furey Squats
Lower body Stretches - hamstrings/Quads
15 Furey Pushups
8 Hamstring DVR Curls maximum intensity each leg

I include the stretching in there because it's a good minute worth of rest between exercises.

Doctor's appointment went well yesterday. Little Julian's Heartbeat was 155mph. My weight was 172lbs - they got it right  My blood pressure was low though - 88/55!! It's never been that low before. The nurse wasn't concerned at all. She said they don't worry about low blood pressure just high. I know low blood pressure can be bad though (I think low is considered below 90/60) so if its still low next time I'll push for more info. Right now I'm not dizzy, or lightheaded, and I haven't fainted so I guess all is well lol.

Yeah, 90/60 or less is really bad - if you are bleeding or having a heart attack. You aren't bleeding or having a heart attack, you're pregnant. Your circulatory system is almost 50% bigger to accomodate the changes you have to make for the baby yet you have the same blood volume. Think of pouring a full 2 liter bottle into an empty 3 liter bottle. You have the same volume, but the larger container isn't full...same thing in your body = lower blood pressure. Perfectly normal. That's why pregnant ladies sometimes get light headed, have vertigo, or feel "faint" if they stand up too quickly.

Hmmm. Interesting. So even though it's below 90/60 it's ok since I'm pregnant. One good thing about being pregnant lol. I do feel fine. I don't even get lightheaded from standing up quick anymore. My normal blood pressure is about 115ish/80ish. I knew it'd been low for a while 100ish/60ish, but was surprised it was that low!

April 17th

6 Tiger moves 10 reps light intensity - forgot the one armed chin

5 min warm up on eliptical

12 Dips
16 Assisted pullups - 90lbs assistance
1 min plank
.5 mile run - 5 min
Stretch outside of thigh - I think it's the IT band...
12 Dips
16 Assisted Pullups - 90lbs assistance
1 min plank
.5 mile run - 5 min
12 Dips
16 Assisted Pullups - 90lbs assistance
1 min plank
.5 mile run - 4:33
Stretching - quads, hamstrings, glutes, IT band - 5 min

**I've tried to run a few times in the past couple of weeks with no luck. Usually the baby is just sitting too low, and it's very uncomfortable. This morning I decided to give the .5miles a try since I felt OK. The first 5 min was hard on the IT band. I had to stretch afterwards because it was really really tight. But the next two weren't so bad. I won't be doing any half hour runs or anything any time soon.

Weighed in this morning at 171lbs. I really doubt I actually lost a lb. Probably just because I weighed myself at a different part of the day than normal. I made cookies and cinnamon buns this weekend, and this time I made the "proper" icing for the cinnamon buns - so, so bad for you, but oh so good! Plus I ate a whole bunch of other candy - chocolate covered almonds, M&Ms!! So I highly doubt I lost weight! The only exercise over this holiday weekend was Friday morning we walked about 10K to go see a new apartment. 2 Hours worth of walking round trip - not bad.

Wednesday April 19th

Warm up - 5 min eliptical

.5mile run 4:43
Lower Body Stretches
15 Pushups
10 Dips
.5mile run 4:35
Lower Body Stretches
15 Pushups
10 Dips
5 min of lower body stretching

Today was just going to be cardio, but I wanted to run. I was only able to get through two sets because I really, really wanted to run, but my hips, and legs already felt really tight before I started, and after each .5 mile everything was burning!

20 dips at 28 weeks pregnant. Very cool (and impressive).

Definitely only run as much as is comfortable. You're basically working out with a "weight belt" these days with that little guy you're carrying around.

Never thought about it like that! Absolutely correct though! Thanks

Friday April 21st

5 min warmup on bike

20 Opposite arm/leg raises (10 each side) held for 5 seconds each rep
50 Furey squats
40 Inner leg lifts each leg
40 Outer leg lifts each leg
40 Inner leg lifts each leg
40 Outer leg lifts each leg
40 Walking lunges

Not much of a workout today. I'm having a harder time doing lower body workouts. The motivation is really lacking because my legs are so tired all the time. They're not use to all this weight lol.

My prediction: This baby is going to be doing dips and squats 10 seconds after coming into the world.
