Hello Amanda, on your "guess when he's coming" page - I picked today. How's the tummy? Back starting to tighten up yet? Is he here...or just trying to get here?

Nope, not here yet! I was really hoping for yesterday. I've had some contractions - a few painful, but nothing regular Still waiting....
I don't think I'll be working out much anymore. I'm planning on a swim on Wednesday, and other than that I'll just be walking. Although I'm not walking to and from work anymore as my mom, and my DH don't want me going into labor in Toronto lol.
minime - I'm definitely going to enjoy my sitting around time
I won't be posting too much after tomorrow, as that's my last work day, but I'll be sure to post when I have the baby. I should have my own computer at home by the end of the month though!

I just got internet access back yesterday!
Julian was born on July 17th at 4:15 after 30hrs of labour! He was 8lbs 4 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. It was quite the experience. Nothing went as I wanted it too! But alls well that ends well I guess. I was induced and had an epidural since it was such a long labour. 29 hrs of labour and 1 hr of pushing. I was extremely sore and tired for a few weeks after that! Everything is going great though and Julian is up to 11lbs! He's a big boy!
I have resumed working out, but not as much as I'd like. He sleeps during the night, and is then up alld ay! I rarely get him to go down for a nap that islonger than a half an hour!
My final weight check before I gave birthwas 190 lbs. On August 8th when I did my first workout I was 168lbs. Right now I'm around 165lbs. I'll post my workouts in a new journal!

CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA !!!!
WELCOME TO THE WORLD JULIAN, YOUR MOTHER GAVE YOU THE BEST START SHE COULD
Well you know Amanda, those things that didn't go as you would have liked probably couldn't be changed anyways. That sounded like a pretty typical 1st go at this and of course look how far you've come. You've dropped 25lbs of pregnancy gain, no small feat in itself. Now that I'm sure is due to the excellent fitness you maintained throughout your term.
We'll see you back on the board when you're ready I'm sure. Give Julian a great big kiss for me (I'm sure he gets tons anyways).
So glad you dropped in to tell us the news!

Not much in the way of workouts lately. Julian got his first set of shots Monday, so I haven't had much chance to be away from him. They didn't make him happy lol.
Yesterday throughout the day I did
2 sets 15 pushups
25 squats - holding Julian - 11.5lbs
15 situps - unachored
10 frog crunches - 2 sec hold at top
10 crunches - 2 sec hold at top
Things are about to become even more hectic around here since we are planning on moving to Calgary Alberta. Don may have gotten a job, and as soon as he does we have to start packing and he is leaving right away. Then Julian and I will have to get rid of all our current stuff and find a way to move some of it before we can go out. Should be fun though! I'll have to find a way to get some workouts in in the mean time...
