I'm sorry it's going to be in the summer too that is not going to be fun. I hate the heat as it is! It's hard to believe that I've only got about 14 weeks left though. 5 more days and I'm in the third trimester
Tim DH has gotten to feel him from the outside about 3 weeks ago or so. He is still jealous though because he doesn't get to feel him all that often. Usually when he tries Julian'll stop kicking lol. He listened to my stomach the other night though and could hear whenever he'd kick. That is something I won't ever get to hear - something all for him lol.

Hey Amanda,
If you want to still have a fun challenge, join a maternity aerobic class. That was the only time I ever enjoyed "group aerobics".
We lined up in order of due date. One of them was me, LOL : http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...e/fdad0be0.jpg

That's a great picture! I've been thinking about trying out a maternity aerobics class. It would have to be really close to home though as I don't have a car. I'm going to ask at the rec center when I start swimming next week.

Are you wobbling yet when you run, or are you still not showing that much?

Thanks Sunmedic
Hmmm I don't think I'm wobbling yet. I feel big enough too! I wonder what DH would say if I asked him lol...
April 7th
Legs
50 Walking lunges
35 Side lying leg lifts - for inner thighs (35 each leg)
50 Furey squats
35 Deadlift with 8LB Medicine Ball - hamstring contraction held for 2 seconds at end of lift
Lots, and Lots of stretching. My hips and legs are really feeling it lately! My hips have actually been bothering me for weeks now so when I do squats, lunges, etc. I have to really make sure to stretch otherwise it's very painful. So my workouts aren't quite as long for legs. I end up spending a lot of time on the mat stretching - which isn't neccesarily a bad thing!

As you get closer, though, you might want to be careful about that. Of course I'm not a doctor and don't actually know much about anything, but I do remember that when my wife was pregnant (twice), the doctor told her to be careful about stretching too much. Your body is already gearing up to be loosened up, like a snake unhinging its jaw. If you push it too hard, you can actually stretch too far and injure your connective tissues. I seem to remember it being a bigger deal afterwards, though.

Good point Tim. Amanda, make sure to talk to the doc about when to stop the squatting. It's not the stretching so much that is the issue, but at some point, late in the pregnancy, your hips will "unlock" for lack of a better term. Then you can actually fall from lifting the heavy loads. With our last one, my wife kept working EMS until the 38th week, but when the hips loosened up, it was time to stop. Just be sure to keep in touch with your doc about that little detail.

Thanks for the reminder. Stretching feels so good, but you're right I do have to be careful! Stretching after my workout is crazy how flexible I am. Even with the belly. I'm definitely keeping it up afterwards and maybe I can keep some of this flexibility!
One of my friends is a Personal Trainer that works alot with pregnant women, and she is 300% more knowledgeable than my doctor. My doctor's answer to every question about exercise is "did you read the handout I gave you on exercise?". Literally. That's what she says every time. I got a different answer out of her once, and that was about HR and it wasn't even the answer to the question I asked. Plus she was wrong.
With squats I'm currently not lifting anything, but I'm pretty sure that you can induce labour sometimes with exercise - squatting in particular is what I've been warned about. When I get closer I'll probably have to cool it there.
This morning I am pretty sore. My left hip in particular - but I think that's more due to sleeping than my workout yesterday since it's a different sore than my hamstrings, and quads are. I don't know what I'll do for my workout this afternoon. I was going to do cardio, but not with how my hip feels. Probably upper body again, but different than the one earlier this week.

Saturday I had planned (planned being the key word lol) on doing a workout after I got home. However it turned out that my roommate was out of town so DH and I had to make use of that and spend some quality time together! I did the 2 sets of the 7 tiger moves at a moderate intensity right after I got home, and that was it!

Monday April 10th
3 min warm up on eliptical
12 Dips
18 Assisted Pullups - 100lbs assistance
5 ab contractions from tiger moves - held 5 seconds each
30 second plank
12 Dips
18 Assisted Pullups - 100lbs assistance
30 Second Plank
12 Dips
18 Assisted Pullups - 100lbs assistance
30 Second Plank
8 Ball Rollouts for abs - not to much of a "roll out" but I felt it nonetheless.
3 sets of 10 Pushups - 20 sec rest in between sets
Weight - 172lbs
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but I'm not using their scales anymore. I'm going by my gyms scales because I know they're accurate whereas at my doctor's office they don't reset the scale to zero between every patient, and it's impossible for me to know if they're balanced correctly etc.

Oh, anyone interested in guessing the baby's weight, length time of birth etc. I started a little Baby Game
www.expectnet.com
put Julian in the top left corner and guess away!
If it makes a difference my starting weight was 146lbs and I'm currently 172lbs at 27 weeks pregnant.

Holy crap, how hard were those planks with a baby on board?! You doing incredible, I can't believe how dedicated someone can stay with all the lovely side-effects of pregnancy you must be going through. Truly an inspiration, keep it up! : : :

Why thank you The planks were reasonably difficult which is why I kept them to 30 seconds!
