Oh it's going... I was off for 5 days because I had 5 teeth removed last Thursday. Haven't been to the gym since last Wednesday. My mouth is still swollen, but it's getting better each day. I will be going tomorrow though for spinning, and thursday evening for spinning. I love it now that I've had a chance to try it! Hopefully (cross my fingers) back to a regular routine!!

Thanks for checking in Things have been crazy lately!

It was 4 wisdom teeth and 1 baby tooth. I was wanting to go to the gym on Saturday (procedure was on Thursday) but I couldn't. On Friday and Saturday I didn't get off the couch, if my HR went up then the side of my face would just pound! It hurt. The dentist only gave me tylenol 3s luckily my BF had surgery on Sunday and had some Percocet (SP?) which helped but didn't take away the pain. Not to mention I couldn't eat! (That was horrible) Thursday I had 2 pieces of toast with peanut butter and 2 bowls of kraft dinner.
Friday I had 2 pieces of chicken.
Saturday I had 1 package of oatmeal, half a tuna sandwich, 1 sausage, 1 drumstick
but I can now eat again and I'm making up for it lol. I can't wait to get back to going to the gym, I feel so lazy!

Well it's been so long since I've been running on a regular basis that I'm going to start another half marathon training program. I've found a program that I think will be doable. I may miss a few days here and there because of my work schedule but all in all I think I can follow it.
Week 1
Monday Walk/XT 40min Tuesday Run 30-45min Wednesday Walk or XT Thursday run 30-45min Friday walk or XT Saturday off Sunda 3 miles

The consecutive weeks are the same format except for Sunday's mileage keeps increasing until week 7 where you run 9 miles. Week 8 you taper to 5 miles. Week 9 10 miles. Week 10 6 miles. Week 11 11 - 12 miles. Week 12 5 - 6 miles. Week 13 12 - 13 miles. Week 14 14 - 15 miles. Week 15 5k at race speed. Week 16 7 miles. Week 17 is the half marathon race.

Amanda, what is "XT" ? I tried the treadmill yesterday, that was the first time I did it. I did a warm up and ran @ 6 mph, total time - 25 minutes! It was a VERY GOOD WORKOUT, I really like it except my earpieces kept coming out of my ears and I really need the good tunes to keep me going. I did not go nearly the distances you are talking about running, so now I can get a somewhat better appreciation for all your hard work.....talk about some endurance woman, that program sounds like a killer, but don't know what "XT" is

For first time on treadmill 6mph is really good! That's where I started at too. A couple of trainers at the last gym I was at said it probably helped me be able to run longer distances rather than starting off slower. As for XT that stands for cross training. Which in the program I have up there it's suppose to be another form of cardio, but I want to do weights. I've decided on higher reps and lower weights while I'm on the running program. When I finish I'll go back to higher weight lower rep. See how it works.
