You Go Girl!!!!
Hey, FYI, I have that same problem at work, but its even worse. We can eat whatever we want free and there's all different kinds of chips, cookies, ice-cream, so called "health" bars that are really nothing but candy bars. There's practically anything you want in the junk department.
But there's also fruit, yogurt, sometimes carrots and celery, hard-boiled eggs, and sometimes some turkey. I try to stick to those, but its not always easy w/ everyone pigging out around you.....

Yea i know it's rough, the guy that cooks lunch likes to use a lot of butter, and oil in everything! The meat he is given to cook with is always the fattiest and cheapest, and they don't provide a place to store our lunch. So I am going to try and start bringing my own either in the beginning or middle of november!

Well, its the beginning of November, so you can start right now! Why wait till the middle of the month? Ya, you could always bring a little cooler with you or something for your food.
At least, if you do mess up, its earlier in the day instead of later. That's really my sore spot is in the evenings. My resistance to temptation is really low at that point. I don't know why. I'm fine all day until around 5:00 or 6:00 pm.
DANGIT!!!! I have GOT TO BUCKLE DOWN on those evenings woman!!!!

Oh ya, I wanted to tell you I've been on the treadmill lately, only now I've been looking at the numbers. Wow, that thing is challenging! I can sprint but then I have to lower it down to about 6 mph or so. I can't believe how much endurance you have. It's really something.
The only thing is that I have to switch back to elliptical for while because my shins are hurting. But I really like the treadmill better I think.

It is the beginning of the month and I'm bringing my breakfast, can't quite afford lunch too yet, but soon
For me the mornings are impossible! I wake up just starving, and could (and sometimes do) eat all morning!
I'd like to go back to the treadmill just to see where I'm at compared to where I was. Although I'm not running as much as I'd like. Hopefully that'll change this week now that most of the moving stuff is done. I also got a bike so I have a cross training exercise for my running. Soon I won't need a gym at all
My shins bother me if I wear run down shoes or if I don't warmup before pushing too hard.

Awesome numbers woman! Oh, and personally I think its great you're starving in the morning, if you're going to get hungry that's the best time.
I only wish I had that problem...I always get weak @ night...

Plus, now I have a new problem
This guy Scott is taking me out to eat all the time, plus he shows up with Twisters from Fosters Freeze for me and the kids or he cooks dinner for us and its so yummy and fattening. Plus its just so sweet of him how could I refuse? then when we go to movies he buys big things of popcorn and it is so yummy...oh god!!!
Well, I've been doing extra cardio to try and compensate. Yesterday he went with me to the gym and we did the elliptical together.

I stepped on the scale yesterday @ Connie's house and I was 162...Well, it was around 11:00 am and I had already worked 5 hours and had my kneepads and stuff on so maybe it's actually less.... I hope so!

Do you ever do the flat BB Bench Press? Because I think you would surprise yourself if you're doing 2 sets of 8 w/ 30lb DB's...
Next time you do chest ask someone to spot you, give it a try...

Thanks Amy! Sounds like you have a fun problem My BF is always doing that too... cookies, ice cream... this time of year my vice is egg nog! (with baileys irish cream, and rum!- very tasty)

Yea, I'm not a fan of the scale right now either I've just started back into running and got into the gym once (and I'll be back this weekend ) but now I think I may have a stress fracture in my right foot! I've increased the amount I walk a lot so that may be it cause it doesn't hurt when I run, but hurts a lot the rest of the time

So I may be stuck with "just weights" for a while! I guess I better go to the doctor on Saturday!

I use to do BB bench press when I was at the womens only gym about 10 months ago because the highest db they had was 30lbs. I was up to around 100lbs on BB and could get two 40lb dbs up for 6 reps... fell way off track. The only bright side to not being able to run would be to get my weights back up.

Tuesday November 9

Banana pre run

25 min run - don't know how far, I wanted to wait to record this until I knew the distance but can't seem to load the website. I think it was probably about 2 - 2.5k

coffee on the way to work, and the Granola and Yogurt

Fruit smoothie in between 9 and 11

lunch pasta with tomato sauce - I think it seemed to have cream in it.

Snack - ham sandwich

dinner - chicken, and currie noodles

I've never tried eggnogg with anything in it. At all. Hey, I think I just might try some of that stuff this year!

Woman, you have just been through the wringer I swear! Well, I think maybe you need a rest from cardio/running/walking for a while. It seems to me that your body has been trying to tell you that for a while so this is actually a good thing (in my opinion)

I mean, maybe you overtrained there for a while and now you just need some down time. Do you think that's possible that you overtrained? I kinda do. When you do your leg day on lifting, I wouldn't do any calf raises or anything. I think your legs from the knees down are probably just dying for some time off.

Also, if you got the 40 pounders up for 6 reps then you can do more than 100 pounds on the BB Bench. Maybe you just don't know it yet.

Has Andrea been around here at all lately???

I think I agree Need to take a break. I can't take a break from walking though so I'll see what the doc says tomorrow and then I may have to buy new shoes. I don't really feel too much pain when wearing the shoes I use for running because they have better arch support. Guess I'll have to focus on weights for a while again. The only downside is that I can only get to my gym on the weekends because their hours and my schedule do not coincide.

I don't think Andrea's been around in a while... Wonder where she got to?!

Ya, I guess you could do upper body on Saturday and lower body on Sunday. I think you would still make progress but it would be a lot slower w/ 5 days of rest in between!

I may be able to still run I go for an x-ray tonight to see if I have a bone fracture or not. I also need to get orthotics, and am going to set up that appointement today. The doctor said as long as I have shoes with very good arch support and I don't have a lot of pain I can still do light runs, but to keep them shorter. I'm still going to go and do weights on the weekend though since it is the only time I can get in.

This weekend I didn't go cause we got new bikes so we were out on them

I walked to work this morning in my "running shoes" and haven't got any pain yet... so we'll see as the week progresses!

Well I don't have a stress fracture I have plantar fasciitis (sp?) not suppose to run or walk at all, and I'm suppose to wear my shoes all the time! (except in the shower and in bed) I'll probably do a run every other week or something until I get orthotics, and I have no choice but to continue walking to and from work, so at least there's exercise there still! Also no squats, deadlifts, lunges, calf raises etc. nothing that puts extra weight on my feet so I guess I'll be doing upper body work for the next little while. It's very discouraging, and I'm trying to stay positive by saying that I really want to focus on weights again... I don't know maybe once I get started I'll feel better
I should get orthotics by January and the pain is already less than it was the last two weeks so hopefully I'll only be out for a month. Oh Well what can ya do...
