another day of cutting gone by . Only 2 more days of cutting left actually. Then I will do my final weeks of bulking with the HST and ABCDE, then cut and SD and then to a conventional bulk.

Did a little cardio today. Other then that, I really have nothing to add. I really miss working out . Im going to take thursday to carbload then begin working out again after that.

Did a 15 minute cardio session.. It was actually alot harder then I thought it would be... It seems that im losing muscle or maybe its just mental.. Who knows I just want to eat my carbs again and start weight lifting again.

Nothing else really to add.

FINALLY!! The day I been waiting for (well 2nd best day I been waiting for ). The last day of cutting for now. I know I should of waiting till tomrow until I had some carbs, but I decided to have some pasta for dinner . Lol. It was great. I cant wait until tommorow. Im going to be dreaming carbs tonight....

The plan is as follows for bulking:

Do a carbload tommrow to start of my bulk. Friday start weight training again. During the 2 weeks of bulking, my objective is to finish the rest of my 5's, then move onto my negatives and finish that as well.

Hope all goes wells.

Oh wow what a niceee day. I ate ate atleast 700 carbs today. Mostly clean also. Definatly a great day. I also took some measurements before my carb up. It seems I atrophied a bit or it might be due to the glycogen depletion:

Arms: 11.75 (relaxed) 12.5 (flexed)
Chest (around nipples):34 (relaxed), 35.75 (flexed)
Waist (around belly button, relaxed):28 1/2 inches
Quads (middle part): 18 (relaxed), 18.5 inches (flexed)
Calves (flexed): 13 1/3 (relaxed), 13 3/4 inches (flexed)
Weight: 143 lbs

Can't wait to workout tomorrow .

Feeling great from my carblioad yesterday and stradegetic decondtion. I acutally had some motivation in my owrkout today considering it was pretty long. It was alot harder then i thought (my 4th workout of 5s). I really like the 5 rep range though.

Halloween was pretty cool also. Got major candy thank god for bulkling .

man I'm sore from the workout yesterday. Its been awhile since I was sore... must be the stradegetic decondition.

I decided to take today off due to the DOMS. I will continue again tomorrow though to do my 5th 5 rep workout.

Diet is alot better now. I'm really motivated to get in all those calories.

Also, I noticed that the Zinc i started to take is helping me sleep better (as well as giving me crazy ass dreams).

Looking foward to tommorows workout.

Did my 5th workout of 5s today. I had to do it at my dads though, so I couldnt do calf raises (weighted). Also, a dumbell pin was like broken or something, becuase it kept coming off when I tried to dumbell bench press. So tommorow Ill just do flat dumbell bench press and weighted calf raises then do my 5th rep max workout the following day.

Diet as good. Got 8 hours of sleep also .

Thanks to your entry, i went to the keto... site. this is similar to the Atkins. there are not enough carbs to support your serotonin levels. Also, I notice that you are under 21 yoa. it is not recommended for a person of your age to do "dead lifting" it can "stunt" your growth. you should look into this for yourself. I admire your ambition, as well as your dedication to fitness. lol.

studies? Why is it similar to the atkins diet? becuase there is an absence of carbs?

no it cant. Prove to me how it can... Go back to your cardboad box and let my journal be .

ps - i been deadlifting and squatting for 2 years.. and grown 7.5 inches (went from 5'1 to 5'8.5). I would say its genetics except for the fact that my mom is 5'3 and my dad is 6 feet.

Made up for the calf raises and bench press today.

Feeling pretty good lately.

These HST workouts are kinda long though, Next time IM going to lower the volume a bit. These workouts usually last for a bit more then an hour. I have to fix that.

Diet has been good though. Way better then the last time I bulked. Hopefully, this will make my gains better.

Damn. Went away today so I couldn't do my workout . Oh well, Will have to do it tommorow. I can use the extra day off since its going to be my 6th rep max workout.

I also started taking a multi mineral today, along with Vitamin E. I'll see what happens with this.

sleep has been real good lately. I get at least 6 hours of sleep, usually 7 (8 and more on the weekends). This is way better then my 5 hours of sleep at the begging of my journal.

Did my 5 rep max workout today.... and I must say it was VERY hard. it felt good going to failure again with the low reps though.

On all exercises, I pulled off 5 reps on the first set, then on the 2nd sets, I usually got around 3.

I'm probably going to rest tommorow, then do negatives the day afterwards as I will probably have a bad case of DOMS.

Ate a bit too little today.

I rested up today. I definatly had DOMS today. Not as bad as I thought, but still a fairly bad case. Legs are stiff and I cant put my arms over my head .

Looking foward to doing the negatives tommorow. I never did negatives before. Should be fun.

Negatives were alot harder then I thought lol . I could only do negatives on a few exercises though. For the rest of the exercises, I did 2 drop sets after the last set of the exercise. According to HST, drop sets are a good technique to use. These are what I did for my exercises: (on the exercises where I did drop sets, I obviously kept my 5 rep max for the other sets. On the exercises with the negatives, I did my 2 rep max and 3 negatives. Also, for isolation movements, I just kept my 5 rep max and didnt do drop sets or negatives):

squats - drop sets
stiff legged deadlifts - drop sets
one armed rows - drop sets
bent over barbell rows - drop sets
flat dumbell bench press - negatives
flat flyes - just 5 rep max
Military press - drop sets
Upright rows - drop sets
Bent over lateral raises - just 5 rep max
barbell curls - negatives
skull crushers - negatives
forearm curls - negatives
crunches - drop sets
weighted calf raises - negatives

Keep in mind, that sometimes I dont have a workout partner so on somethings I might have to do drop sets as opposed to negatives.
