lol if you hate it, try something else. Barbell curls? Hammer curls? Pull ups? Chin ups? Not to mention if you do lifts for your back you are probably hitting the biceps enough anyways, depending on your goals, that is.

@gcs118: I think I'll just stick with it. I may hate it, but if it gets me results then I'll just suck it up. But once my guns are awesome lol, I'm done with it, I'll find something else to replace it with.
Note: Did a food log for the past couple days for a lark. Used a caloric calculator and it said for extreme weight loss I should take in 1592 calories.
3/15 Total cal: 1821 - Over by 229 cal
3/16 Total cal: 2383 - Over by 791 cal
3/17 Total cal: 6667.36 - Over by 5075 cal (St Pattys Day!)
So um yah, that is why my waistband isn't getting looser.

3/22 Right ear hurt. So couldn't get my swimming ear plugs in. Going to have to give up swimming for a bit. Went to gym and got a massage instead, lol. But also checked schedule and on Tue & Thu they have a boot camp class, I'll join that until I can get back to swimming.

Boot Camp class
Note: Lasted one hour than bailed. Felt like throwing up. Will try again Thur. Really friendly people, but super competitive with each other.
3/30
Rower: 15 min [strokes per min 25-30, stroke output under 3.00]
Note: Today was my 6 week mark. So got measured again. I gained a pound. I'm now 200lbs, body fat still 49%, and all measurements the same. Well no, I lost an inch in my butt. The trainer was like "I just don't believe it. I've been doing this for 30 years. With the effort that you put in, and you go all out, I cannot believe you didn't lose ANYthing".
So we talked about my diet. EEK. He said right away, he wants me to stop eating Kaki Mochi. I eat that while I do my homework, but ok, gone. And he wants me to cut my venti soy chai to a grande soy chai. But otherwise, he doesn't want me to change anything. He does want me to keep a food journal for a week. He said "I have got to see what you are eating, because this is just unbelievable".
(and yes V, you told me so, lol)

Note: Trainer had me log my food intake for the past week. The only thing he told me not to have this past week was my nightly kaki mochi fix. Apparently, kaki mochi is high in sodium. Otherwise, I was to eat as normal. Coincidentally, this past week I was unable to get to a workout (exams sucking up all my time).
So after a week without kaki mochi and without exercise, I lost 3lbs and 5% body fat. I get that it's probably water weight. But it's just so strange that after 6 weeks of working out, the numbers didn't budge AT ALL. But after 6 days of no kaki mochi (and no exercise), the numbers budged.
This week, trainer suggested I cut out my Pringles and chocolate chip cookie fix. Yikes!!!

Hey, good job on putting the work in, but I'm gonna jump the gun on your trainer a bit:
Cut out all the junk food you're eating, and listen to V's advice on primal dieting. You know your diet is what's holding you back, so fix it before you have any more of your effort go to waste. It's better in the long run, trust me!

@2d2q: Thanks. I know it's great advise, I just have alzheimers when stuffing my fat gob and forget it. And the cravings are driving me mental. Luckily I'm craving stuff I have to pay for, i.e. Starbucks and Cookie Corner, so I gave my hubby my bank card. No money, no junk food.

Note: 20 of my coworkers are doing this new diet. HCG or something like that. From what I can understand it's pregnancy hormones or something. They take 10 drops throughout the day and only eat 500 calories/day of specified food. They are really pushing me to try it. They said it'll kick start my weight loss. But as the whole point of my weight loss is to get pregnant, I don't really see the point of messing with hormones and cannibalizing my body. Hopefully that's right.

I agree with you...there's a right way to lose weight and then there's fad diets...

Some of my coworkers did this...It works. But only because it's a 500 calorie/day starvation diet. There is no HCG...there are supposed precursors to HCG or HCG drops...but it's not real...all fake.
HCG is the hormone that pregnant women produce. It's used by prescription to control LH in men to help boost testosterone and prevent testicular atrophy, it also increases spermatogenisis. It's a "recovery drug" after an AAS cycle (better if used during) and it's a male fertility drug.
...AND IT'S ILLEGAL WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION..and real HCG is only available as an injectable and it's very difficult to store and keep without it going bad and no longer working. They are using fake HCG and starving themselves thin.

Note: Walked into work this morning and my coworker gave everyone in our office an 8oz bag of mini chocolate chip cookies from Cookie Corner. So much for my plan of 'no money, no junk food'. I thanked her and shoved it into the back of my filing cabinet.
