Here are some more tricks I've used.
I have a sweet tooth but I quickly get overload from processed sweet food. Make your own food or suck-up to the Missus Andy for some help. Homemade food tastes better and seems to have calories that stick around much more.
My favourites are, muffins, cookies, granola, dried fruit any time, brazil nuts (those buggers can be lit on fire they are so full of oil) avocado if they are not pasty tasting.

Doesn't matter what it is. I don't want it and it ends up tasting like monkey's ass to me. Mr. Andy is the one that does all the cooking and the rest of the family is really enjoying my attempts to tasty the menu up a bit...it's just not working for me. If I've got to force it down, it's going to be shakes, chicken, steak, beans, corn, and potatoes for me to get the most benefit from it.
I'll keep trying for them with the variety though, maybe something will hit me as good again someday.

Thank you. We have had a great morning together. A nice breakfast for them, a shake for me, opening presents for the wife and kids. They all seem to be quite satisfied. Then they hijacked me with stuff for me even though I told them not to. At least is was sensible stuff this year.

Andy,
Here is Paul Pearsall from his book" Making Miracles" , talking about your very attitude towards challenges:
The principle of observer participantcy reveals that the act of observing alters what is observed. Extending this idea into daily life, we either make a mess or miracle of our own life depending on the meaning we choose to give to our living.
And continuing with what Brat said --"The highs in life would not feel so good if we don't allow ourselves to really feel the lows", here is the same Paul Pearsall on her same concept:
I have never felt more alive than when I was dying. I never felt more joy than when I was crying, never felt more hope than when things seemed so hopeless. I never felt more conected than when I was alone and feeling the power of prayers and support of those who love me. The priciple of complementory suggests that happiness and unhappiness always exist together. Even though we are taught that we should strive to achieve happiness and avoid unhappiness, the view ignores the complimentary of each state.
And finally after watching the movie "Rocky Balboa" here is what I remember Rocky saying to his son in the movie:
It is not about how hard you can hit. It is about how hard you can be hit and still get up and move forward.
By the likes of your diary Andy, you are living these quotes. I really admire your approach toward life.
Dan

Thanks Dan, you are very kind. All of you are quite supportive. I've actually put down food 3x today so far. There will be 5 feedings by the end of the day. I'll only come up about 500 cals short for the day.
So far: 1 can cashews; 2 milk, whey, banana shakes;
Planned: Chicken breast, potato; Steak, potato

Squat.....115, 125, 135, 145, 155
Dead......145, 155, 165, 175, 185
OHP........................90x3x4
Cable Crunch...............90x3x4
Pullup.....................50x3x4
Legs a bit wobbly with the 175 set of deads, even the light squats felt pretty heavy today. Not the best leg day I've ever had, but no injuries.
Did get a nice compliment today though. One which shows the true dishonesty of the female of the species. My girl had her friend over visiting today and when I came in to brush the snow off and warmup between sets of pullups the friend said, "that's crazy". My girl said, "he's a bodybuilder, they have to do that". The friend said, "yeah, I can see he looks like one, but that's crazy. At least he's not old and fat like my dad." I am a couple of years older than her dad so I just patted them on the head, said thanks and went back to my pullups.

Regular this time. No wraps and only a belt when I have to. I'm supposed to be squatting in briefs, but am putting it off as long as possible.

How come the need to squat in briefs? Old injury since childhood is getting worse.
How come I'm putting it off? No good reason. Simply because I prefer raw whenever possible. No matter how much I support the use of lifting gear, belts, wraps, whatever as safety equipment...I still don't like having to use it.

Supposed to be "medium" day today. Had to work 40 straight hours then go to my kid's basketball game. Missed today so will have it tomorrow.
I don't like having workouts every 3rd day instead of every other day, but will simply have to make do. No matter, got too busy and didn't eat for 30 of the 40 hours anyway. Probably wouldn't have been a good workout.

Squat.....125, 135, 145, 155, 165
Row.......110, 120, 130, 140, 150
Bench.....110, 120, 130, 140, 150
Curl.......................90x3x4
Skull Crusher..............90x3x4
Eating is on track today. Got very hypoglycemic yesterday, that is not consistant with what I have to do. I can't allow that to happen again.
Squats were odd today. 155 felt like it was going to mash me through the floor. Then 165 was easy. I was suprised that I actually got all the planned skull crushers at 90lbs. My arm strength seems to be staying with me although I've lost about an inch of arm size over the last couple of months.

Thanks seraph.
I've actually eaten on schedule today too. My wife made me eat on time, of course this meant taking her out twice but still, everything went in on schedule today. One more meal (steak and potato) before bed and I'm done.
I never thought I'd have trouble finding clothes after losing weight. Today I saw some really cool silk boxers - black with gold dragons all over them, only for fatasses though. The smallest size available were for 34-36" waist size. I had to settle for the tigers to get 30-32...dammit.
