SOS, but more of it.

FitDay.com - Diet and Fitness journal for a_welch503

Today will be oreos. No it isn't obsessive Wolbarret, It 's just dedication to a goal. I usually get close to my calories, but it's a struggle. Yesterday, I just got closer and got a few extra. Right now, I'm trying to eat to support training, if I gain a bit of fat - I don't care.

That was a real treat Andy, giving us a peek at your Fitday Journal, thanks for sharing.

It reminded me that you folks from the south love your grits. Just like how I love my tortillas.

What kind of corn are you eating that gives you a grand of calories for 1.75 cups? Is that correct?

Have a great day!

Yellow sweet corn from a can. Kind of like the baked beans - a high calorie, starchy food. Pretty good for giving energy to workouts and not bad for regularity either.

Pretty good for the first 6. After that they got nasty so I stopped and just drank my milk.

Waste of time to do. Not worth logging. Do it over next time.

Holy...

If I ate 1,000 cals of corn I'd be camped out on the throne all day.

Fitday error. That's what I get for not verifying everything by reading labels and comparing it to fitday.

OOPS. No wonder I'm not gaining the way I'd like. I've got to get more cals in. Turns out this is the true values:

Cals 3515
Fat 73g(18%)
Carbs 379g(41%)
Protein 376g (41%).

Customized fitday's corn and bean information and now it is accurate.

Maybe I SHOULD actually eat the whole package of oreos instead of just 6 or so.

Well goodbye hopes of having any muscle mass fired up by good "high carb, low fat" eating.

Been having blood pressure troubles lately. Cholesterol issues too. Getting checked 2x a week at the doc's. We went through every possiblity from the meds I'm taking, to the foods I'm eating, to the suppliments I may be using. She considers suppliments to be drugs (foods too if they are eaten or taken with a medical goal in mind) and insists on monitoring diet as closely as medications.

Apparently deadlift till you bleed refers to the shins...not the nose (yep, that's been happening every workout lately).

I got my panties spanked (figuratively, not literally) for eating so many carbs. For my body it is high fat, low carb, moderate protein forever, unless I want to have a stroke and die. Been fighting off being a cripple for too long to screw it up and become one from a stroke by jamming in extra carbs just for a few extra pounds.

Goodbye 205lbs of leanness, goodbye future 225lbs of leanness.

Yaay, no more forcing down oreos. Dave, I've got a half a pound left...want them?

I'm pretty sure there is no way in hell I'll get enough calories on a high fat diet.

Well, that sucks. I bet though, with your dedication you'll find a way to work it out to get all the calories you want.

Thanks Tim, I may have found a way. Basically it will be what I've done for most of the last few years except with twice the calories. Lots of whole eggs, ground beef, steak, and some green veggies if they don't fill me up too much. Some whey and olive oil shooters to get the fat and calories on up there a bit.

And of course psyllium husks every night before bed.

Instead of another wasted workout - just took a nap instead. Two mornings ago my little one tripped and was falling, I caught her and injured my mid back - it's in the muscles, not a disk injury. Just tight and painful. 1, 2, or however many extra days off is in order so as not to aggravate it.
