Yeah - it's pretty cool considering I never thought it would be possible. They are not really cut up - but all 6 of the rectus abdominus muscles are visible. 9 if you count the ones on the right as 2 each - they are separated by a big scar. The obliques and the whatever the one on the bottom is called are still not really there yet - but hell I started at 67% - to get it all this soon would be too much to expect. They look good on some days, but they aren't good enough yet that I don't have to worry about if I slip on diet. The fluid retention from a week of decadron will wipe them completely away. That's a small part of why I just put up with this last attack instead of getting the meds to stop it.

Yeah firehawk - that is a good feeling - remember the first time you could feel that top one? I was soooo happy the first time i could see that first one appear. Keep it up and you will have them all visible. Be careful saturday or they might all be visible from behind you - going for 435 - thats pretty damn awesome next thing you know there will be a video floating around of firehawk deadlifting Ronnie Coleman.

Heheh that would be bad ass .

I was originally just going to go for 405, but i think i can get that easily considering i can get 360 x 6. So illprobably get 385 x 1, 405 x 1, then depending what i have left, try for 425/435.

ya, I always keep my knees bent slightly on the SLDL too, really hits my hams better than anything else I think.

I was shaving my legs and I could see that muscle popping out, the curve of it, on the back of my legs. What an awesome feeling! Can't believe it!!! I feel about that probably how you feel about your abs.....

I really can't relate with the leg shaving part, but I know we all probably feel about the same when we find a new muscle we've never saw before, or at least haven't saw in a long time. Mine are still puny and sad looking, but sooo much better now than it would have been if I had kept sitting on my butt doing nothing. If we all just keep the diet where it needs to be and keep the hard work up, we will keep finding all those new muscles.

BB Curls.................120x3x6
Skull Crushers......100x2x5, 1x4
DB Curls..................50x3x6
Cable Pressdown.....100x1x6, 2x5


No time for abs yesterday so did them after arms today.

Abs

Leg Raises............3x40
Crunches..............3x40
Side Bends.........50x3x10


The DB curls were much better today than last time. I think one more time at this weight with 3x6 and I will be ready to increase the weight. I am really happy with the skull crushers today too I got the weight up and did more reps than planned. Finally able to do 100 lb on this one. Will increase weight again on BB curls next time.

No singles today because of having to do abs on the same day.

I did the side bends correctly today - I definitely felt them this time. But I will have to add more weight to them next ab day. I guess it will take a few times to find the right weight/rep combination for these.

Had to go in to work today for an extra 12 hours starting at 0800. So got up at 0500 to get the workout in. Could not do anything...way too sore from yesterday. I think I got the side bends right this time. The obliques are trashed. I can feel the intercostals and spinal erectors too. I guess this one hits them too - in a different direction from the other pulls.

When I get home around 2030 or 2100, I will try to hit it again.

So those side bend thing-a-bobbers DO work then.......I saw an older man @ the gym doing those & I was wondering what was up! Hmmmm......

I don't know for sure what they do. It being a brand new exercise for me I expected some DOMS, but wow - I was completely useless yesterday. I'm getting ready now to go get shoulders today - I ended up taking a whole day off from lifting yesterday. Even today, I'm still sore in the obliques. The spinal erecters are OK today though. I guess I will keep doing them for now.
