Well, this month's cutting pics are in. Definitely leaner, however there is some bad news - in my opinion - no matter what the tape says - this is NOT a 6% body. Too smooth, that might be the creatine. Oh, and the docs, the wife, and the neighbor ladies are all full of sh*t. I look very small and weak.

Oh well, I'll keep at it.

They are for my own tracking of what I've done - and what I still need to do. I'll likely post them after the 3rd set is taken at the end of next month whether the product is finished or not. I see so much more that needs to be done along with some that simply can't be done.

Dammit, somebody done gone and posted it at the top of this page, I'm the one on the right - yeah right haha.

you realize if you look at it that way, we'll never see nuthin cause you'll never be satisfied? (there'll always be *something* needing tweaking)

That's it, I'm done. I know when I'm beaten. Time to stop.

Legs
Squat.....230x3,2,0

Woke up this morning, not fully awake yet, feeling shaky and weak - that old feeling that tells me my CNS is acting up again and going to be bad. My wife brought me coffee and fresh home made cinnamon rolls (I must have done something right last night). I wasn't awake enough to know what I was doing yet and I ate a couple of them. Then I went ahead and made my protein breakfast to support my workout. Then out to the gym. Still feeling a little shaky.

I guess about an hour after the cinnamon rolls, the insulin response must have been pretty effective, because right after getting into the gym I got really shaky and weak - worse than I woke up with. Did my warmup and acclimation then got 3 reps with a new, heavier weight. Rested 3 minutes, did 2 reps and realized I wouldn't get 3. Rested again, shouldered the bar, got into position and saw that I would be unable to do even one rep. Put the bar away and called it quits.

I'm overdue for a break anyway. I'm taking a week off. If I'm not ready then - I'll take off until after I've seen the doc. This sucks. I can just imagine the strength loss from taking a week off during a cut especially since I lose strength for no reason anyway.

You work hard. You deserve the break. Try and relax and enjoy the break!! (easier said then done, I know)

Thanks, I'm going to try. But it's still going to suck. Since my gym is built out in my backyard - I'm going to have to look at it everyday. Although this morning I felt like torching it, I know that by tomorrow I'll want to be in it. I'm going to lock the door and have one of my kids hide the key.

I do think I'll continue doing some light cardio anyway - maybe just some walking.

Good idea hiding the key. Even though we know whats best we don't always do it! Walking is a great idea. It feels like you are doing something (which you are) and it's good for you too

swimming's good, too, even if you're just treading water for a half-hour.

you *won't* lose a whole lot of strength from taking a week off - seriously. maybe a slight dip, but nothing drastic: if you were to lose a lot, then your condition would be a heckuva lot more deteriorated than it is. keep your protein up, maybe add some BCAAs on an empty stomach and you'll be fine.

hang in there, hon - we're all pulling with ya.

Yeah, I know I won't lose too much from only a week. Now two weeks gives me a major setback. Looks like you were right yesterday, I've been realizing that I need some time off for a while, but I really wanted to finish cutting first - then take a whole week to rest and eat. Ahh well, stuff happens.

If you're long overdue for a break, you'll most likely even come back stronger than before, not weaker.

Obey your body.

If you have the ability and desire, do some visualization training of the workout you would have done had you not taken the time off. Visualization is tough.

I had to take 3 days off to obey my body. It's tough, particularly for guys like you and me who tend to be hard on ourselves.

Obey your body, you've got a lifetime of fitness ahead of you.
