Bob's 2008 Workouts
Tue 1/1/2008
1001 pushups Sets of 10 throughout the day.
Started having goals of a set number of pushups in a day a few years ago.
This year it was 1000 and I probably will not go any higher. Maybe switch to number of pushups per set in the future.
Hope everyone at DF has a great 2008 in fitness and in their life. It was fun last year reading about everyone's style of working out. Looking forward to seeing what eveyone has planned for 2008.

Did I misunderstand? You do 100 sets of 10 pushups (=1000) ... every day?

Hi cursor,
I didn't explain that very well. My goal was to have 1 day of high rep pushups per year. I have been bumping it up by 100 each year. This year's goal was 1000 reps in a day. I did it on New Years day. I don't plan on continuing this goal any more.

Thanks for the clarification, Bob. Having reached your goal, you can now change your username to "SuperDuperEndurancePecs". Congratulations!

Awesome pushup performance Bob, one that I will never accomplish in my lifetime.
I would have gone for a photo shoot after that workout. Your pecs must have looked like weapons.

Thanks for pushups attaboys. I did have some DOMS the last couple of days.
I am off to the doctors on Friday. I am bad at putting off doctor's visits. I have had a cold for 3 and a half weeks and cannot shake it. I am one of those that thinks the body will heal itself, but I am tired of not being able to do any thing that requires breathing hard or a coughing fit will start.
I am working on my 2008 goals. I'll try to get them posted this weekend.

Went to the doctors and he said I probably have pneumonia. I am going to take my pills and do my inhaler like a good boy. If I start feeling better by Monday I don't have to go in for x-rays. I knew I felt bad, but that scared me a little. I will just take it easy this weekend. Get to the doctors when you feel bad and don't be mule headed like me.
