Boxer's Journal


Hi, I have an upcoming fight this February for Boxing. I'm fighting at the 132 weight class division. This is a rough idea of what my training routine is going to be starting this January. If you have any suggestions plz feel free to comment.

Everyday: Monday-Sunday

9:00am 40 minute run consistant pace without stopping.

11:00am gym light weight work out: reps of 12 done, sets of 4 fairly fast. 30
minutes then 30 minutes punching the heavy bag.
Side shoulder raises
Wrist curls
Smith shoulder press
Smith pec dec
Jumping squats

3:00pm Shadow Box: 10 minutes, 1 hour kataform.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday Boxing sessions 6:30-8:00.

Monday, 8:00-9:00, Thursday 7:00-9:00 (Karate) Renshinkan chito-ryu

Tuesdays, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00-7:00 gym (explosive lifts)
Flat Benchpess 135 lbs, reps 8-10, sets of 3
Incline Dumbell 50 lbs reps 8-10 sets of 3
Dumbell military press 40 lbs reps 7-10 sets of 3
Jumping squats with 55 lbs dumbells reps 5 sets of 4
Wrist curls with barbel 80 lbs reps 10-12 sets of 3
Deadlift 200 lbs reps 5 sets of 2
Legpress 225 lbs reps 12-15 sets of 3

My daily intake is roughly 3,000 calories.
