Your meal plan is kind of the worst of both worlds. You're not eating a lot (which can be hard on the willpower) and you're not eating well (which can be hard on the body). The good news is with a little thought it's pretty easy to cut calories and still eat a variety of really good, tasty foods.
For instance, you could clean a lot of empty calories out of what you're
currently eating just by making a few small changes. Do you make the
protein drinks with whole or 2% milk? You can cut fat and calories by using skim milk. The croutons and dressing in Caesar salads can have tons of hidden fats as can prepared soups and I guarantee that Jarod guy didn't have too many sausage subs...he went with the low-fat stuff like chicken or turkey. He probably went pretty easy on the cheese too.
I don't know how much of your own cooking you do but if you don't cook, start. You'll be able to spice and tweak foods to your tastes and you'll be able to control things like added fats and sodium and whatnot. It's amazing how easy it can be to make really filling, tasty soups and stews with very little fat or other empty calories.
As for your dinner choice...well, I can't tell you anything you likely don't already know
