Ok, today i didn't run because my friend had registration and i had to take over and work for him. However, i did do some cardio because i am starting to kickbox as well and was heavily pounding the bag for a good time. I also ate more than 5000 calories easily, stayed 1 hour and 30 mins at a buffet with a friend. It was so funny the chinese people thought we wern't going to pay and they kept eyeing us, like always except we stayed longer this time. I am hoping to get a membership to the Y soon!! God i really want it because i cant do these heavy lifts at my house! I will keep nagging my dad and hopefully soon...

What in God's name are you doing eating 5000 calories!!! That's just gonna make you fat dude... If you wanna get the ladies, just cut and cut and cut and cut...unless you want some fat ugly chick to be your girlfriend or something, LOL.

I never had a problem getting the ladies, even when i was actually chubby, the girls seemed to think that i looked cute that way. I'm lifting to feel better about myself, not to have a chick feel better about dating me.

I've hit a rut. My weights arn't increasing and i have had a lot less energy while lifting lately. I have almost no simple carbs in my pre workout meal so i am thinking i will need to change this. Any ideas?

Take a two day break...or just make sure you're consuming more carbs. I sometimes have great workouts though when I take a few days off, as opposed to sticking a schedule and doing so-so all week.

has your diet and eating habits been the same lately? How long are your workouts? Are you experiencing insomnia at all or sore joints?

all of these are symtpoms of overtraining. Less energy and non increased weights sounds like your not eating enough and working out too much.

lol. its a 1-repmax. Lol 30lbs was becuase i had to use that weight in order to complete 10 setsof 10 reps and i got that easily so i upped the weight to to be able to complete 10 sets of 10 reps with 40 lbs .

thats good to hear. WHen was the last time you took a week off?

Never lol. Since i began i have either done cardio or weights every single day. 3 days off so far. A few mins ago i tried the last weight of my machine and i could barely do it, but the one right before was easy. I don't know how much weight that is, but a week ago i couldnt do it.

you should be taking a week off every 8-12 weeks . This way your body can fully repair and you give your joints/tendons a rest.

Today i had tons of energy for some reason after school. I came home rested for 20 mins then i decided to lift, and had one of my best lifts in a while.

Benches: 1 set of 16(didnt know i would do so many on the weight)
1 set of 12
1 set of 5

Straight Arm Cable Pulldown(both hands) - 3 sets of 10

Incline pushups - 2 sets of 10

Arnold Dumbbell Press - 2 sets of 10

Calf Raises(decided to add a little legg, my tailbone hurts and i cant squat) - 3 sets of 14

Something came to my attention though. Since this workout was so much smaller and more intense than the ones i usually have i had more energy to do the lifts and tried as hard as i could for the probably 30 mins spent lifting. I think i will change all of my days to short and sweet from now on.
