Darkangel's Bulking diet, Compound Experiment
I went to the doctor today and he brought up some good points. First of all he told me that 1800 calories, what i am getting is far too little for someone my size, and second of all he told me that i need to get lots of food and not be dieting especially since im still growing. I agree with both of these statements and although i have spent only about 2 - 3 weeks on my reduction diet i went down to 191 from 206. Now my main concentration will be to start gaining muscle mass again. Part of the reason that i am doing this is because i am tired of being hungry, losing strength, and energy.
As for my bulking diet i will try not to gain any fat if that is possible. I will be doing cardio in the morning every single day, before eating, as well as lifting. What i mean by my compound experiment is that i will change my workout to include only exercises that affect multiple muscle groups. I have heard that a lot of people have gotten strength increases like this, as well as mass.
Although my diet will not be too exact i will just change my old diet a little to a little something like this:
Meal 1: 3 eggs, 8 - 12 ounces of skim milk with oats and 1 cup of cereal
630 calories 39:71:20 (ratios are as follows: proteins:carbs:fats)
Meal 2(directly after workout): 8 ounces of milk with 2 scoops of soy/whey protein, and a banana(for a slight sugar intake)
390 calories 55:59:.6
Meal 3: 3 strawberries, 2 bananas, 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of yogurt, 8 ounce of skim milk shake.
495 calories 32:81:3.7
Meal 4: 2 Cans of Tuna w/ a tomato(medium sized)
335 calories 65:6:2.5
Meal 5: Chicken Breast, and 1 cup of cottage cheese with pepper and perhaps some meat chunks
390 calories 70:12:6
Meal 6: Celery w/ 2 servings of peanut butter
420 calories 17:14:32
This is about 2700 calories a day, i will also be snacking here and there. This should hopefully be enough calories for me to gain muscle while lose fat, or at least the first one.
The extra 2 tablespoons of peanut butter i think has helpe me to even out my fat intake, increasing it to a good size. The peanut butter i will eat only has 4 g of sat. fat for every 4 tablespoons so its pretty healthy, and super damn good. Wish me luck guys i am hoping to get some good mass going, this means that i will not be afraid of going to restaurants as well .

Today i woke up at 9 for registration, i got back at 10:30 and decided to do a 30 minute run since i hadn't eaten yet. I ran a total of 2.03 miles. I am going to not eat for another hour to let the full effects of the jog take place, then afterwards at around 3 i will be going to a gym with a friend to lift. Obviously my last cut plan was short lived, but i am going to go seriously about this bulking diet and try as much as possible to gain as little fat as i can.

No offence bro, but I've noticed that this is the third journal thread that you've started in this forum. Maybe you should hava re-evaluation of your goals.
I also noticed that you are very young (15) I think you should maybe disregard the notions of 'cutting' and 'bulking' cycles at your age. Concentrate upon regular lifting and cardio and a clean diet. Your body is producing enough testosterone for you to make superb progress.
Your doctor is right, you shouldn't be eating so little number of calories especially as you are growing. Gaining mass without 'any' fat if you ask me is more or less impossible, but as you are so young and I assume new to lifting, this is more than achievable.
Your body is in a massive state of change as it is without being subjected to very high or low calorie dieting.
Just my thoughts, Jock

I think you're right to up the cals closer to 3000 a day, but it looks like you've got 25% of that from fat. If you're concerned about putting on any weight in fat, you might want to consider dropping the fat intake down to 20% and replacing it with protein. Just my 2 cents.

Hey Dark,
IN my opinon your doctor is very smart and I am glad that he/she isn't like most doctors I have talked to about weight loss and just say cut calories or prescribe a pill. Males at 15 are producing hella testosterone and are also still going through all the things fun in teenagers i.e puberty and other crap. So gaining muscle for you will be easier than someone of an older age. because your body is still growing I think that maybe and of course this is my opinion that having a structured work out like lifting 3-4 days a week and some serious cardio. Running is great especially if you are doing it everyday keep that up and keep trying to increase your time not your distance and I think you should eat six times a day and eat just enough so you dont get hungry until right around the time of your next meal. eat healthy of course saty away from crap...fast food, sodas, candy, sweets, fatty foods. I think that you will see substantial weight loss.

Wolfnatas: Will take that into consideration
Amkey: Yea i thought this was the best way to go, although i did lose a total of i think it was 19 pounds in 6 weeks total even though at one point i went up 6 pounds, i was feeling like crap a lot of the time. Now its time to eat how much i want or what fills me up basically. I am about to do my lifting routine today, which is legs and abs, i will report on the exercises when i am done.

Legs/abs day:
Squats: 3 sets of 12(60 pounds)
1 legged calf raises: 3 sets of 10 each leg
Crunches: 3 sets of 25(squeezing throughout)
Leg raises on back: 3 sets of 10
I exceeded my calories for today, probably ate around 3500 but damn it felt good, and the food was clean.

Today was supposed to be my cardio day, and it is the first time that i havn't done my workout in 3 + weeks. I woke up at 12 because i was watching movies till 4 - 5 am. Needless to say, i simply didn't want to run, and still don't. I do cardio everyday, so i will make myself do it even more tomarrow to make up for today. My calories are at around 2700 and counting , and damn i feel good and energized.

I almost miss all the running we did in wrestling. We run equal amounts in football, but it's all sprinting which is less enjoyable IMO (if you could consider any form of running enjoyable). Too bad I don't have the time/will power to kick my own ass and make myself run for 30-45 minutes a day like I do in wrestling.

Today I did not do any running but i swam for about 2 hours, and rode my bike for like 30 mins.
I am having great gains on my traps, they even feel bigger on me. Now, as i flex i am getting some huge increases and getting that no neck effect lol. My shoulders are broadening a bit as well, and so i am just waiting for results on the strength part now.
Starting next week i am going to look for a place to box. I will either be taking up regular boxing or kickboxing. I have considered jujitsu(not correct spelling so i am sorry), but I need the most work in my standing skills so i have decided to do one of these.
