DF Personal Records: Instant Inspiration!

Hey gang, I thought I would start a community journal here, that we can all benefit from. My goal here is create a way to increase the intensity and motivation for people who are weight training here at DF. By seeing other people reaching new heights I feel like it will act as a motivator for all of us.

Here is how I would like this to go; Each time you reach a personal record from here on out, reguardless of exercise or how much of an increase, post it here and let it be known! It doesnt matter if you've increased your 1 rep max, 10 rep max, 6 rep max or whatever, just toss it in here and let us see your progress. If you've reached a fat loss goal or a goal in sports (making a team, beating a time etc.) feel free to post it here as well.

OK DF, lets see what you got! Get out there and keep improving! :

I'll start her off:

Yesterday I got 6 reps in at 70lbs for tricep pushdowns.

This is a good idea. As long as the intent of posters is to remain positive.

Been doing deadlifts for about six weeks now. Pulled 265lbs for two reps. Would like to increase that a lot, but going the right way. First time I'd used chalk and it made a huge difference. Feel like I can go beat it on Wednesday.

I did a clean stance DL of 395 (405 was closer, I was using straps and I'm not comfortable with them), 395 was not strapped.

Iain: Nice work bro, thats real nice, ya chalk makes a big difference. keep it up!

abarlament: 395 is real strong unstrapped, thats a real nice lift, no doubt that'll continue to improve for you.

Welp, as for me today I finally pressed 245 x 5 on flat bench, I've been after it for the last 3 chest days and today I got it.

Ok so i was busy today but i got to do my bench:

105, 115, 145, 155, 160, 165, 175, 180, 190

All singles. Nothing special, but coming off of a shoulder injury and not training bench for 2 weeks i think it is decent, it should be back up fairly quickly, we will see my max when i am done with my cycle. I will test my squat on wednesday when i squat and deadlift i cannot max because i do not have enough weight.

Excellent idea griff and I will support this thread as long as it remains positive (None of this "I don't believe you" stuff).

I wish I could say I did something great in the gym but my gym time has been lax lately because of my transfer to Virginia and I also injured my right quad doing squats awhile back. Still hurts like hell =(

I actually hit 3 PR's today on my back day.

250 x 10 on Seated Cable Rows
120 x 10 Bent rows (db's)

I also deadlifted today, first time attempting over 225 and only 4th time doing them, I know I know, shame on me

375 x 1 I missed on 405, but that was with horrible form, an old man showed me how to do it and 375 was much easier, check out my journal for that whole story...

It is mostly a bodybuilding routine, but has some powerlifting aspects. It is like the 8th post down in general bodybuilding.

I finished my workout yesterday and i gotta say... lol. After 2 hours of racketball benching 150 and 160 felt like a ton. O well i still got at least 1 week before the real heavy lifting starts, i will have to stop doing cardio right before i workout.
