Keep trying!

Hi gene,
Just wanted to encourage you to never give up, change is hard but you can do it! Don't look at it like a "diet"...visuallize yourself changing your lifestyle for the rest of your life, find a sport that you love and incorporate it into your life -
Until next time...

Just found out i'm suffering from hypothyroidism.
That explains a lot of what i'm going through and some of this "plumpness".

Develop a solid plan — then stick to the plan — and success will follow. 'Hypothyroidism' has nothing to do with inability to maintain focus. : Don't let this latest diagnosis be an excuse to perform at less than an optimal level. Good luck!

Hey there gene.....Ya, I have that too, actually my thyroid is practically non-existant, my dose is so dang high, it's about 7 times higher than my mom's....isn't that crazy.....
but just want to tell you it doesn't have to set you back....if I was you though I would be lifting weights more or at least add it in in addition to the cardio.
I was so dang fat last summer when I started lifting weights. It began as a half-hearted effort really, just something to do. Believe me, I did so much cardio its not even funny and really didn't make a whole lot of difference compared to weight lifting.
I can actually eat way more now and not even gain any weight, I'm a WHOLE lot slimmer, and WAY MORE ENERGY, just LOVE flirting with guys again, life seems so much more fun now without the extra poundage......
Way to go Gene....

You didn't say how tall you are @ 180????

Unhappy

hypohippo

5'8"
I seem to bulk easily, that's why i stopped lifting weights. I guess i'll start lifting again. I did some research on hypothyroidism and found where it causes your legs to get really fat That explains these thick logs i'm shuffling around with.

Oh i'm down to 176 : Goal: 150!
