Yeah I am sure it is up there. The 185x6 went up pretty easy. I was actually stunned when I got done with it, because i went into that set thinking "I am gonna get it or I am gonna tilt off the weight trying" lol.

Maxing out is not in my routine. I do not wanna mess up my routines. Do you know a way I could do the max and not F up my routine? The only thing I could think of is Maxing on the farthest possible day from the chest day. So, if I have chest day on Monday's, then Thursday would be the day to try it. Dunno man.

I think you're too worried about your routine, trust me, it wont throw you off, try maxing out on your next chest day, do your normal warm up, go for the 1 Rep Max, and then try 190-195 for your 3 sets, you'll find that that 1 set of 1 rep isnt going to tax you all that much. If you look at my last chest day you'll see I did a reverse period, which means I went for the big PR, and I also had a great workout, it really shouldn't effect you at all.

Wednesday, June 16, 2004.

Back/Bi Day

BB Bent Over Rows

165 x 5
165 x 4
165 x 5

Deadlifts

325 x 5 1/2
325 x 4 1/2
325 x 4

Lat Pulldowns

120 x 4
120 x 5
120 x 5

BB Curls

95 x 5
100 x 3 1/2
100 x 2

Alternating DB Curls

42 x 6
42 x 4

Pretty good workout. I was not feeling like working out until I got to those deadlifts. After I ALMOST got 6 on the first set, I started getting into it. I think Ill go to 330 next week, even though I didnt hit 6 on the first set. Ill add 5 more lbs instead of 10.

BB Curls, decided to increase the weight to see how I do. I think ill start doing that on second or third sets of certain exercises to see if I can get any better gains from it. If anyone (JGRIFF, remember, I don't wanna stray much from MAX OT for now : [i expect your .02 lol]) has an opinion on this, let me know.

Just got back from my buddy's at lunchtime to find out what I could bench. I went for 215, got it easy, went for 235 and got it half way but got stuck. He said I could get 225 for sure, so that's what I am gonna consider my max.

LOL, his max is 315...must be nice. He left the 225 on the bar and speed repped it. I can't wait to get like that lol.

I'd really like to get some nachos tomorrow (not too bad, alot of fat i guess but not TOO many carbs), and take one cheat meal, but Im really gonna try not to. Most of tomorrow ill be out spreading dirt all over the yard anyway, and when I am doing hard labor like that I am not usually hungry.

I am getting away from the pizza and getting hooked on nachos now lol.

And here's June 18'ths Shoulder/Traps workout:

DB Military Press

62 x 4
62 x 4
62 x 1 (wtf)

BB Upright Rows

115 x 5
115 x 5
115 x 6

Reverse Flyes

47 x 4
42 x 6

Lateral Raises

37 x 5
37 x 5

Front Raises

32 x 6 easy
32 x 6 real easy

BB Shrugs

285 x 10
285 x 10 These seemed super light lol. More trouble deadlifting the weight up than shrugging it.

Good workout today except the third set on military presses. The weight is gettin real heavy lately.

*I dont know WTF is going on with my deadlift lately. Last week i F'd it up tryin to go for too much weight (sound familiar Jgriff? Hehe) and then when i dropped back down to 325 (which I got 6, 5, 4 for 2 weeks ago) I did even worse than 2 weeks ago. STupid Fn Dreadlifts! Anyway, maybe i needed that to get back in rhythm. Ill get 6 next week.

I HATE DREADLIFTS!

So now you almost made it back to 6........

June 20, 2004.

Leg Day

Deep Squats

235 x 4
235 x 4
235 x 4
I am soo damn lazy on squat day for some reason. I gotta get over that. I Coulda hit 235 3x6 had i not been lazy ugh.

Calf Raises

275 x 8
275 x 8
275 x 8

Straight Leg Deadlifts

195 x 6
195 x 6
195 x 6
These are fairly easy but i feel it alot after I am done working the hamstrings as opposed to while im doing them.

Nice workouts man, dont worry about it, sometimes I feel a little lazy and dont get as intense and focused as I could, I'm sure you'll step it up. Deadlifts havent been great for me either lately. I gotta really get after em tommorow. And yes, jumpin up too much weight definitely sounds familiar to me. I'm gonna do a reverse pyramid tommorow and see if I can hit 475, I've really been psyching myself out lately though, its like I get nervous before I do the big weights, very strange, I need to get out of that.
