June 22, 2004 Chest/Tri Day, my favorite lately
BB Flat Bench
195 x 4 PR (Most ever prior to this was 195 x 2)
195 x 3
195 x 2 I didnt get into good form to start or i woulda gotten 3 out of this set
BB Incline Bench
155 x 4
160 x 3
160 x 4
I shoulda gotten one more rep on every set here, was unsure though, with no spotter
DB Flat Bench Press
72 x 6
72 x 6
72 x 5
Felt real good, ill go to 77lb dumbbells next week.
Skullcrushers
80 x 4
80 x 4
80 x 4
Good and strong reps, couldn't get 5 though on any set, i tried like hell lol
Bench Dips
body weight x 5
body weight x 4
body weight x 4
Bodyweight was 302 lbs before the workout
Tricep Pushdowns
65 x 5
65 x 5
65 x 5
Great workout I think! It was nice to get 195 x 4 on the first set. Again, previous best ever on that was 195 x 2, so I am starting to get into uncharted territory. I think im gonna max again with my buddy next week, and hoepfully ill max at 235!!!!!!!! NEver max'd higher than 225 in my life (granted i haven't worked out very consistently till now either .
I speed repped my first two sets on BB flat bench, my two warmups were 115 x 10 and 135 x 6. Firs ttime ever speed repping them. I snapped the bar from up to down at the top of my lift and you could hear the plates jumping. I was in full control. I thought that was cool lol.

June 24, 2004 Its Thursday, and its Back/Bi Day. What does that spell kids? Thats right, Dreadlifts...lets see how we did shall we?
BB Bent Over Rows
165 x 6
165 x 6
165 x 6
Will go to 175 next time.
Deadlifts
330 x 6 PR!
330 x 5 PR!
330 x 3 (I would have EASILY gotten 5 on this set, but my heart was skipping beats on me, and it was freaking me out. That's due to i take medicine to keep my heart rate down because it has raced out of control before cause i was taking a stupid MPR that since i quit, nothin has happened yet the doc wants me to stay on this drug, and usually its worn off by the time i work out, so i dont have that skipping beat crap, but i happened to take it late today. It is a very eary feeling. It was skippin beats like crazy after my first 2 sets, and yet i kept going. But, on the last set, i let it get into my head. lol oh well. I KNOW i coulda gotten more than 3 EASILY!). I think ill increase to 340 next week.
Lat Pulldowns (reverse grip)
120 x 6
120 x 6
120 x 6
Will go to 130 next time.
BB Curls
100 x 4
100 x 4
100 x 4
Form is real loose on the last rep of each set, but neverthless, i kept most of the tension on my biceps so i counted the reps.
DB Alternating Curls
47 x 5
LOL, i was off in la la land, and happened to be standing by the BB curl bar, so instead of doing my second set of DB Curls, i did another set of BB curls and didn't realize what the hell i was doing until I was on the 3rd rep which i could barely get. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!!!
Real good workout today i thought. My deadlift is SKYROCKETING right now. I love it! JGRIFF, I don't just want 405 for one, i want 405 for 3x6 baby :

405x6 is probably 4 or 5 months away if I keep making the progress I am. But its ok. One thing I have learned, is to be patient. You can't expect just because we have a size advantage over others, and just because my body will add muscle pretty easily, that I can just suddenly jump up real fast in those plates.
I think if I can add 10 lbs every other week to my deadlift, I am doin real good. I had such a GREAT workout last night it was just unbelievable. I crave my weightlifting sessions right now, I just hate cardio in between them all .

Hi Firehawk, how's things? I'm starting to be the opposite here lately - craving the cardio in between the weightlifting sessions.... Lifting is still #1 though.....

THings are really good right now. Every workout I am feeling really strong. I am 2 lbs away from the elusive 50 lb fat loss mark. I am soo excited. And, i happened to look at my tricep/bicep area on my right arm in the mirror earlier, and holy smokes, it is getting defined and BIG lol i was quite surprised. It's at about 17" right now. Not too shabby for a newbie!

You're kicking tail, Firehawk. Congratulations on shaving off that weight and gaining strength at the same time. It's a hard road, but hitting those goals really makes it worthwhile.
And it doesn't hurt to get some big guns out of the deal, eh?

No klinger, it doesnt lol. I would love some 19" arms. My buddy has 18" arms and he thinks he is small...but my God he is just so dense and strong its ridiculous (maybe somebody looks at my 17" arms and thinks I am very big, hehe it would be nice). He has trained for about 15 years now...off and on of course, but still. He has very dense thick muscles. I want to be just like that too. I am gettin there...main focus for now is to get down to about 240 and then re-evaluate if i wanna keep cutting or go for muscle by then.
It has just been a blast, even though it is a hard road to follow. If it was easy, everybody would do it ya know? I am very thankful to my friend for really showing me how to lose fat and stay focused, and to everyone here that has given me pieces of advice through my journey. I am at 294 lbs and I am starting to really look good.
I think i will be posting some "clothed" pictures that can really show how i have thinned out in my chest, and especially in my cheeks. I will probably post those sometime next week.

June 26 , 2004 Saturday...and its a Shoulders/Traps Day...
DB Military Press
62 x 5
62 x 3
62 x 1 (my shoulders were DEAD by this time lol)
BB Upright Rows
125 x 4
125 x 4
125 x 3
Reverse Flyes
47 x 5
47 x 6
Lateral Raises
37 x 6
37 x 6
Front Raises
37 x 6
37 x 6
Shrugs
295 x 10
295 x 10
Pretty good workout. I'd like to do better on the military presses but first of all, its tough to get 62lb DB's set right without using some energy to throw them up into place, and second, 62 lbs are just frickin heavy lol. In time though..in time.

Couldn't post my Leg workout yesterday cause I didn't have my puter at home, so here we go...
Workout for Jun e28, 2004. LEGS
Deep Squats
235 x 5
235 x 3
185 x 6
I am definitley not going far enough on my squats with 235. So, I got really pissed off and dropped the weight back down to 185, went ALL THE WAY DOWN, and up. ALL THE WAY DOWN, and up. Im gonna go back down to 195 next week and restart, doing perfect form (ALL THE WAY DOWN). This is drivin me nuts.
Straight Leg Deadlift
205 x 6
205 x 6
205 x 6
Getting hard but still able to complete them. Gonna keep goin up by 10 till i cant do them.
Standing Calf Raises
275 x 10
275 x 10
I hate leg day!
June 29, 2004. Optional Cardio day, and I think I will opt out.
Guys, I have dates with 4 different women this week. LMAO. I love it. Not gonna get cocky, but I am getting much more confident. Part of that is due to me looking and feeling alot better.
Had a date yesterday, date today, date tomorrow, and a date thursday. LOL When it rains it pours boy ill tell ya. I love it.
