Well, I want 240 lbs and then start to put muscle on (the easy part for me). But, at 240, Ill be only about 15% bodyfat. Never been 15% bodyfat before, never seen my abs. So when i get that close, i might just decide to take it down to about 220 and see my abs for the first time in my life.
At 240, that will be 102.5 lbs of fat i will have lost. Remarkable when I think about how 2 years ago I was so miserable and thought there was no way i could ever lose more than 5 lbs of fat on my own. Here i am, after serious cutting for about 8 months, and ive lost 58 lbs of fat. I am soo happy with that, but not satisfied.
I want 240 Jan 1, 2005. It is possible, but i am gonna have to work my ass off for it.
I just got back from the annual company picnic (from my job, we have it every year). I remember how i felt last summer, with a big gut sloshin around when I would run for the football. This year, i coudl still feel my gut, but it is only half the size it was last year. I am so happy.

It's good to hear that your happy. You deserve to be. Keep working your butt off and you'll be down to 240 before you know it. I have faith in you.

Yeah im tryin to take it 10 lbs at a time. Tryin to get under 290, then under 280, etc. I had been stuck at 289 for the last month straight, probaby due to too many cheat days int hat month lol. It was drivin me crazy.
I promise too, progress pics will be coming as soon as I buy a digital camera and feel not too embarrassed to post them .

yeah firehawk i cant wait to see those pics. also im linking a friend to this board and youre thread. he is currently at 295 and goes around 290-310 any given week. he thinks its impossible to lose weight since he always does diets for a week and just gives up with no results but i think with consistency like yours he can achieve gains like you have

well after 1 week you won't see anything. You have to try it for much longer than that. That is nice to hear though, hopefully i can inspire someone else you know?
Sounds like his swings from 290-310 are water retention depending on what he eats. Like if he eats heavy carbs, like spaghetti, hes gonna hold alot more water. My body will hold 6-8 lbs of water sometimes after a cheat day lol.
Id be glad to help him out if he needs it. It was VERY tough for me when i first started, so i know how it is to have to stick with something in the beginning, not seeing many results at all.
That makes me feel real good to know I inspire others.

Sunday 8/8/04 Leg day
Deep squat
215 x 4
215 x 3
SLDL
245 x 4
This was pretty much a wasted workout. I feel like poop. Just miserable. Yesterday I went to my company's picnic, ran my butt off playin softball and football. Then i got home and ate a bunch of lasagna, was real sluggish last night.
This morning i get up, have a little soreness in my left butt, just feel run down and miserable. I proceeded to eat more lasagna today, and some cookies, and that really made things worse. Then i did this workout, and just felt like crap.
Let that be a lesson to all those who question their diets. Look what eating like crap for only 1 1/2 days did to me. I gave up on the workout today. F it. I came upstairs and threw out the rest of the cookies, and the rest of the lasagna. That stuff is kryptonite i tell ya.

Sounds like you got the right attitude, throwing out the junk - we all have those bad days where we slip on our diet. Eat something we should not - and pay for it later. As long as it is not a frequent foul up, it will be OK. Just dont do it again or you will have to be tied up with cold spaghetti and force fed elcheapo brand protein powder - dry...LOL.

hjehe.> I allow myself a cheat day every weekend, but i ate too much lasagna this time. It is too heavy, and my body isnt used to that many carbs anymore. I used to eat a whole pan of lasagna by myself, now after 2 pieces im stuffed. lol. It is amazing.

Ehh Firehawk what's the matter...
And I know what you mean by the walking-by-table thing. Me and my friends always comment on women as they pass by and they know it (we make it pretty obvious "SHES A 10 OMG). I wonder what it would feel like if women said the same about me (maybe men too lol but I don't roll that way. well not yet at least heheh... )
and good job throwing away the junk foods. cookies are so good it takes tons of guts to be able to lose em!
