What do you mean? Even if form was not totally right and you were still doing ATF/deep squats, your quads are still the primary muscle helping you up, right? Hmmm...I'll look back through your journal in case you posted about this so you don't need to repeat yourself.
Edit: Found what I was looking for. Confused about one thing..
"He said I am using no legs and all back on deadlift, and my posterior core is weak"
If you are using all back, how is your rear core (lower back?) weak?

I think he was referring to my Glutes. My lower back should be alot stronger than the rest of my core, and unfortunately that's not enough is all.
Basically when i was doing deadlifts, I was doing them just like Ronnie coleman does who consequently has terrible deadlift form. I think he uses deadlifts just to work his back. Have you ever seen him deadlift? He starts with his legs hardly bent at all, maybe half way to parallel. That's how I did mine. You are supposed to use your legs to get the weight to your knees and then after that use your back. I find this method alot harder, but probably cause my legs are so weak.
When I was doing squats, I would do a couple reps properly but then they would turn into more of a straight leg deadlift almost lol. And if you have noticed, ive been squatting 225 ATF for the last 5 months, haven't moved on them. I've changed to box squats becasue essentially they don't let your knees go past your toes and they help you keep good form. I'll be doing those mostly with some deep squats added in. Gotta work hard at those.

Ok makes a lot more sense now. That sucks starting over though...but now I'm sure you have a more solid foundation with more muscle and more experience. Good luck!!

Yeah I guess man. It was a very very hard pill to swallow believe me. Ugh. You know what I was doing yesterday and today? I sat a bench down, and i was practicing getting up and down on it with NO weight. Was just working on form.
Yesterday I was at my boy's and he was correcting my form, showing me how my knees were going past my toes, and sometimes I lean just ab it too much forward taking stress off the quads. I've stopped that now. I may only be doing 135 on box squats but they are being done properly!
How about having to coem back down from 360x4 to 225 x 4 on deads? That was an even worse killer lol. That should go up steadily with my leg strength week by week I HOPE!

I am back from Florida. Whew. We drove for 17 straight hours overnight to get back home. I am so tired. Probably going to pick up my trianing first thing tomorrow if I feel up for it.
Had a great time!

This is my final official journal post with regard to my progress for THIS journal. I am starting a new journal, the second stage of my fat loss.
I feel like the whole last year and a half has been my first phase, learning how to watch my calories, then tracking 3 lbs of fat loss week after week, watching how i retain 10 lbs of water after my cheat day, then watching the water drop off over the next week, learning how to manage a routine, all that complete newbie stuff.
I started at 342.5 lbs, and got down to as low as 268 lbs. I went from a big blob of a stomach to actuallly starting to see the outer ab lines on each side near my obliques. I've gotten as low as 23% bf. Started at about 45% bf.
The next phase of my fat loss will be taking me from 275 lbs, i went on vacation and Christmas holidays really messed me up. Please follow the link here to take you to the next stage of my fat loss goal.

I'm relatively new here and, like many, read others' posts before starting to post. I caught on to your posts first and followed them, privately cheering for you. I wish you the best as you go to the next level. You seem to have a good work ethic. I'll be watching you regularly.
