LBM is around 200. I'm sitting at 279 right now damnit. I took 3 cheat days in a row this weekend.
I got really depressed because i busted my ASS last week , ate perfect every day, was eating about 1700-1800 calories, wrote it all down. And i see no change on the scale over the week. By my calculations i should have dropped 2.5 lbs of fat. I was thinking it was likely water retention, but i got pretty depressed and said F IT! Now i definitely added that fat back on lol.
Greg you know what pullups are right? lol. Pullups are done with palms facing away from you. Turn your hands around, now you doing chinups.
You know what a lat pulldown machine is right? That's what i use.

I get it - lat pulldowns for those that can pull the body weight -- yet. Dont feel bad though. you are doing 175 - that is about like me doing pullups - I weigh 178. As your weight continues to drop and your strength continues to go up, you will be doing bw pull ups. At more than 175. Maybe 200?

Well seeing as I probably won't ever get lower than 220, i'd better get that much stronger lol. I'm confident I can, it's just going to take a long time.
Greg, glad to see you on the same page. Us fatty's can't do pullups all day long like you guys .

What's up Dave, yes get some chalk, www.ironmind.com or anywhere else you may know of, it may prevent a torn calluse on your hands.
Dave, I've been using a " hook grip" on the deads and I must say that for some reason this grip really helps me rip that weight off the ground and keeps my form good, I just thought I'd throw that at you in case you wanted to try it on your LIGHTER sets. I say lighter sets because if you've never used a "hook grip" before it will bruise the hell out of your thumb, thats why it's good to use this grip early so the pain tollerance will be ready for HEAVY sets, I think a lot of guys are pulling with the hook grip now, but I could be wrong.

Explain the hook grip to me. Is that where you tuck your thumb under your fingers?

for the hook grip, wrap the thumb around the bar, then wrap the fingers around the thumb ( double overhand grip), the bar will not roll at all when lifted off the ground, therefore making the "pull" very smooth.

Hey, we can't all be like Andy and pierini. Besides, I bet you'd rather pull a 425 DL than get a pullup, right?

I know I would. I'd be happy for at least 2 weeks with even a 300 DL.

Alright guys, i need help making a decision. Already got Abarlament's opinion.
I am wondering if i should cut down to about 240 which woudl put me around 17% bf, then bulk for awhile to gain alot of strength and size, and basically bulk till im back up to about 260, being cautious of my calorie intake, then dietting down further.
Reasons for wanting this:
I'm mentally tired of cutting, been doing it well over a year now.
My body is going to resist like a MOFO the leaner i get. It's bad enough as it is now and im at 30% bf.
I WANT TO F'n BULK!
Ill look better when i do get to the 6 pack.
It's unlikely ill be able to stay at 10% bf very long. My body just won't let me, i already know it. Friend is going thru the same trouble and he's stricter than me and im 'pretty damn strict on my diet.
Cons:
Dreams of a 6 pack are put off awhile.
I'll be heavier
Ill still have a gut somewhat.
Anyway, probably more but i can't think of them right now, too tired. What should I do guys? All i know is I'm mentally sick and tired of cutting and I am so excited to go into a muscle building cycle. Never have yet. I can set my goal on 40 more lbs to lose and then aim for a nice goal at 240. 220 is alot further off at 60 lbs less than now, and it's going to get real hard the clsoer i get because of the resistance im' going to run into. My body loves to store fat. UGH!
