awesome MPs dude....wouldn't it be nice to do 225 on those?

I've given up on shoulder pressing for the time being. They took a lot out of me, and with my recovery teetering on the brink of disaster right now, I thought it might be best to not do them for a while...besides, I need to work on my side and rear delts more than the front ones to even things out a bit.

You must be getting more psyched by the day for your meet eh?

Yep.

Do u supplement with glutamine? If you don't, try taking extra every day and you'll noticed better recovery.

190 x 6 not bad at all for a restricted calorie guy eh?

I'll be military pressing 225 for 6 at some point this year.

I do use it, maybe I am not using enough? In addition to whatever I am getting from my protein powder, I take an extra 5g of glutamine in my post workout drink. Should I up it to 10g perhaps?

2 TABLESPOONS?! Wow, ok that's a crap load more than I am using right now...1 TEASPOON is 5 g according to my label. How many teaspoons are in a tablespoon? Is it 4 or 8, I forget? Well, in any event, I need to start taking more!

It's 2 per tablespoon.

Actually i meant to say teaspoons, not tablespoons.

I take 2 heaping teaspoons a day. It makes a noticable difference.

There was one week i wasn't taking any, and my hamstrings were still sore 3 days after doing good mornings. Usually im recovered by 48 hours.

3 teaspoons = 1 tbsp

i take 20g/day (two teaspoons morning and night). if i'm *really* feeling it (shoulders are the worst) i up it to a full tbsp for a day or two.

1 week out from First Powerlifting meet ever...

ME Leg Day

Worked up to squat opener today...

55 x 6
105 x 3
145 x 2
195 x 1
235 x 1
285 x 1
All ass to grass and were easy. For the second attempt i will probably go for 325 and then if i get that ill put somethin big on there, maybe 365 and try to get that.

Reverse Hypers

280 x 10
280 x 10
1 minute rest

45° Hypers with doubled mini band around neck
2 x 8

Declined Abs with medicine ball

2 x 15

BB Shrugs

315 x 10
365 x 6
405 x 6

DB Curls

40s x 6
40s x 6

I'm getting more excited every day.

Also, was 295 this morning. Lost 5 lbs of fat over the last 3 weeks. Just about where i want to be, maybe a little bit more fat loss, but as long as i continue to decrease on the scale and keep or gain lean mass then i'm happy. 295 is the lightest ive been in a year.
