30 min cardio this morning, 20min intervals and 10 mins moderate intensity constant. I can feel the fat stripping off now. 297.0 this morning. Loss of 1.4 lbs this week and my diet has been pretty good, but room for improvement. Had a cheat meal for lunch on tuesday at a buffet, just kept myself away from the dessert area, and took 1 1/2 cheat days last weekend. Otherwise i'd probly be at 2+lbs fat loss. Oh well. I was 297.0 in the hospital for my surgery so ive now lost my holiday pounds and am looking to lose 2 more this coming week before i tear it up on Christmas.

Looking at 280 by early to mid february hopefully. I figure i need to be 285 at nighttime to be fitting onthe Cedar Point roller coasters lol.

LOL! you'll get there....

now if you will instill some of that cardio mentality to me, I would appreciate it,,,I just can't get myself to do any cardio, it's bad. I am at a crossroads though...I wanna keep eating a lot to help my lifts and strength go up, but I also don't like sitting at this 15-16% BF either.

Just convince me I won't lose my strength if I lose some weight, and I will be fine with that :

Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Everytime I go to a buffet I know that I will be weak and I always am. I'm one of those guys who never let being full keep me from finishing what's on my plate.

I haven't been strict lately but I've managed to keep my weight stable thanks to my anaerobic-type of workouts. I was strict last year at this time all the way until my 50th birthday for a total strict period of about 9 months. It would be nice to resume a strict period starting January 1st until my birthday in February. Maybe your posts will inspire me to do just that.

Cardio is king, you owe it to your heart. Remember, for best results, put the pedal to the metal.

Merry Christmas!

p.s. I like roller coasters too.

Rangers,

Yeah i know, 15%, oh my God you're such a fat ass. "ROLLS EYES BIGTIME".

Wish i was struggling to get below 15% lol. Geez. I think you shoudl do cardio regardless to keep your overall health and conditioning, even if you continue to maintain your body fat%. If you're staying at 15-16% and you add cardio and keep the diet the same now, you should start to decrease the fat very slowly.

I HATE doing cardio, but i have to do it. I just dont' think about it. I go right downstairs, jump on the bike, and get it over with. I hate it but i do it.

Do it in front of a TV or do what my friend does. He has his stationary bike set up in front of his playstation and just plays video games the whole time. Its a perfect setup, one that I will be stealing in the near future. I'm just waiting for after christmas sales on cardio machines, probably an elliptical machine.

I have sports talk radio on so i try to pay attention to that and the time goes quicker, especially if they have a good conversation going.

Second that, homey.

If there are attractive females in the gym, I choose my cardio equipment in a way that gives me the best, ahem, vantage point. Gotta love testosterone.

296.2 this morning. That's just over 2 lbs for the week. The cardio is really making it happen. Next week, expect 294.

I can't wait till i'm out of the 290s.

I can't imagine what your deadlift is gonna be when you get those squat numbers up. Its amazing how big of a distance there is between them. I couldn't budge anything past 350 deadlifting til I started putting serious poundage onto my squat.

Yeah my back is a great deal stronger than my legs are/were. I have gotten 505 to my knees and couldn't lock it only because it was mostly all back. So as soon as my legs catch up, i should be at a 545 dead immediately. My best rack pull is 545 and i JUST MISSED 555, and these were from 3 inches below the knee.

The squats im doing aren't PR's by any means. I've done 360. I'm just slowly getting back into squatting. It's not like i can only max 255 squat and deadlift 500 lol. In fact, if i saw that posted online i'd call BS. If you look at last weeks squats, the reps were up 20 lbs and the single was up 30 lbs. I'm going to continue doing this until im back to where i was, which was squatting 360.
