I squat wide but pull conventional. That's going to have a little less carryover I would think to my dead from the squatting. But, my weakpoint right now is my quads. So what i'm doing now is rack squatting close stance off pins every other week with rack pulls. Trying to build some more strength in the low end. I really feel as soon as my squats catch up to my dead, my dead will start moving pretty fast up to 600, and then it'll be a long time to 700. Oh yes, i have every intention of pulling 700 within 5-7 years. lol

700 is just plain sick, lol

I couldnt' even imagine having a back strong enough to hold that much weight. what's the record for someone weighing 200 pounds?

There's no raw record that I know of. Well let me correct myself, i'm sure there is in a raw powerlifting meet somewhere but you'd have to google it to find out.

It's probably in the 700-800 though. Course, that's rpobably a juicer. I really dont know man. Gotta look it up. I'll get there though. With my frame and build i should be capable of it barring injury.

One of the natural lifters at my gym competes int he 181s (used to compete in 165s, he just put too much muscle on now) and he can deadlift 500 sumos tyle, has a 500 shirted bench also which is awesome.

500 i can see for a 180-200 pounder on a deadlift, but 700, yeah, you need to have a larger frame for that, and yes, you probably have a shot with your frame and with the people you work out with pushing you. I would love to see a video of you deadlifting 700, that would be awesome!

for myself, i will be happy when i can get into the 400s. Of course, when i get there I will probably want more, but I don't know how much my body will allow me to lift. I weigh 200, but I naturally have a very small frame...I mean I was 145 pounds when I was 22, and was small and skinny my whole life before that, so I have a small frame with a lot of mass on it now. But hey, I'm gonna ride it till i either give up, or snap my back in two, lol

Ranger... you must not know of Ed Coan.

At a weight of 220 i believe he deadlifted 901.

Speed Bench Day

135 3 singles, one single per grip (pinkie, ring, index on rings)
155 3 singles, one single per grip (pinkie, ring, index on rings)
175 3 singles, one single per grip (pinkie, ring, index on rings)
195 3 singles, one single per grip (pinkie, ring, index on rings)

Tried ot keep the same speed throughout. I think i was pretty successful. I video taped the 155s , 175s, and 195s and found comparable speed between the lightest and heaviest weight.

As i'd get to my index fingers, my speed was slightly slower than my pinkies in the rings speed.

135 x 25 (tried to get 30 but with no spotter wasn't going to have to tilt plates off), completed as fast as i could, 45 seconds from the time i started first rep till i ended last rep.

Cable Pushdowns

70 x 8
80 x 8
80 x 8

SkullCrushers

85 x 6
85 x 6

DB Front Raises

52s x 6
52s x 6

Lateral Raises using 3/4 inch band

2 x 10

Band PUllaparts (for rear delts)

2 x 10 (these were near failure)

On a side note, this morning i fit into 40" jeans once again. They're tight, but i got into them. Last week i tried and coudln't button them at all. Also wearing some 2X shirts i haven't been able to wear in over a year. I loves it. Finally, starting to get back down there. I expect 294ish by saturday morning.

Keep it up and pretty soon your ass will hurt when sitting on bleachers during a football game. And you'll be cold with cold fingers just like a chick.
