Mon -> Thurs afternoon is low/no carbs. The Mon & Tues workouts are to deplete you muscles of glycogen. The Thursday workout should rid you of the last of it, and upregulate your glycogen storage in all your muscles. Once it gets to 40 mmol/g, your muscles make an enzyme (or somesuch) where they will store more glycogen. Thurs night you pound 1g per lb twice of carbs, and then 9g per kg the next day (Friday).
At this point (Sat) your muscles are hypersaturated with glycogen, and you sneak in a killer workout, which you never get while dieting (at least constant dieting).
Sunday is rest, normal calories.
Mon/Tues is 15-20 rep sets. 4-6 sets per body part. Makes lots of GH too.
Thurs is 6-12 rep sets. 2-4 sets per body part.
Sat is 4-6 reps sets. 2-4 sets per body part.
M/W/F wouldn't really work.

Back on plan
Chest / Back day.
Did about 5 chest sets, 4 back, and a set of traps for good luck.
Didn't eat hardly anything today. Hmmm, heart rate is still up though. Maybe 1100 cals (900 so far). 109 up the stairs, and 181 on db rows. Pretty normal, if not high.
Drugs are bad, but taking them anyway. PM me if you care.

Leg Day
Going to snowboard. Went Sunday too. I should be around zero glycogen legwise. Got a new pack so I can bring my 2 liters of Hydra Fuel. Woot! I always have a hangover from not drinking enough.

New Years Eve
What a day. The snow was crazy good. I probably ate maintenance, but got in 6 hrs of cardio. My HRM said 1,960 kcals and that was just after lunch.
199.6 this am. I look stringy as hell. Should be damn low on glycogen now, if not in keto. No clue where my blood sugar monitor is..... The new weight must just me being swollen from all the snow abuse. Should drop off in a few days. Knock on wood.
Just a low cal Weds today. Suffered through a 3 egg omlette.
Might go get a different snow board for all this powder.

Yeah, I was snow boarding all day. Heart rate was 130-170 all day long. I hate when I leave out the minor details.
Well, I don't know how good I'm doing. 193 - 199.6 so far. Sheesh, I'll get it under control though.

Thurs
Diet half the day, then workout, then carb load.
Dieting went well. Had some protein drink for breakfast. I'm having trouble with breakfast. Had a zone bar, and a slice of pizza. Could be better, but plenty low on calories.
Workout was as expected. Legs sucked (all the recent snowboarding). Chest was great and back just fine. The 70 db's were quite easy. Hopefully I can hit 90's or more Sat.
Carb loading sucks at first. Weee. Nauseaus. Weee. Nauseaus.
Still haven't produced a tasty shake yet. Less flavor, more sugar. Unless I wan't to drink 8 quarts. :S
200.8 this am. No idea what the body is doing. I ate hardly anything yesterday. 3 egg omlette, indian for lunch, and Chinese for dinner. Must have been the General Tso's chicken. It'd ruled though. Couple pounds of salt in it, easy.
Tomorrow is pasta and wine day. I can't wait. I think I'll start tonight. Another sugar shake would knock me out.
Drugs: check. I think I'll up tomorrow while I'm eating a lot. Then I'll be at a good dose.
Thanks for stoping by.

Carb load day
Man, 1.5 lbs of pasta is a lot. All my sugar last night woke me up at 5:30 for a "snack" (toast and the last of my chinese food).
I'm just tired tired tired today. Started today with an excellent head ache. You'd think carb loading would be more fun!? Blasted. Eating tons of pasta sounds great when all you are eating is chicken breasts, tasty as they are.
I remembered my creatine today, so tomorrow's workout should be great. I predict 14 plates on the leg press.
It's my 4 year anniversary, so I get to go out and carb load some more. Yippie!
Better living through chemistry. Upped my dose, and all seems fine. Took my second half dose about 5 hrs behind the first.

Heavy workout
201.6 lbs today. Down a little, despite all the carb loading. Still not quite recovered from boarding on Tues, oh well.
I didn't make it very far into the workout. I think too much Phenylalanine or Tyrosine. Got a little carried away I guess. Mui mui mui queasy by the end, and queasy to start even.
Deadlifts 4 @ 385, 4 @ 385
One more rep. Back and abs are still trashed from snowboarding.
Leg Press 8 @ 655, 3 @ 720, 4 @ 720
Man those are heavy. I don't know how I go for 8 at 655. That meant I had to add more . 7 plates (plus a 25) makes my eyes hurt, not to mention my legs.
I'll have to go back tonight. I had to lay down for a while in the gym and a good hour after I got home. Silly me. Anyway, chest and rows await.

Thanks. I'm just glad to have found something to keep the legs growing.

This is one thread I'll be monitoring carefully. How long do you plan to stay with it, Fudo?
It's interesting that you felt so tired and unable to focus so soon after begining carb restriction, and so strong after carb loading.
I guess everyone's body responds differently, because I definitely get more energy and mental focus the less carbs I eat, and I feel tired and unable to concentrate if I eat too many carbs. If my daily carb intake ever goes above 40% of my total calories, that day is completely shot in terms of any athletic performance. I try to keep my carbs as low as I possibly can on days I play hockey in particular, otherwise my performance suffers.
Hmmm. I just thought of something. I could go ketogenic on the cut phase of the ABCDE diet. That be an interesting combination to try. Two weeks straight of next to no carbs would actually not be tough for me at all.
I think I'll wait to see how much butter you end up burning first!

Gosh I'll keep it up at least this coming week, then I'll try and put another 4 together a week or so later. I'm out of sorts for a week or so starting this Friday. You can't really tell how well it works with all these breaks. At least weight loss wise.
Well, the idea is to super saturate your glycogen stores, so your workouts are better. It definitely makes you tired as hell on Friday, but the Sat workout is great.
I'd probably do better with a 9 day cycle. The Mon, Tues workouts are killer seeing as you do the brutal one Sat. Some more rest would be nice, and you'd get a little more fat burning.
