Thanks Lee - albeit a little late, I have now learned that I am definitely interested to see how the two of you progress - I may just get the courage to try it again (but properly this time)!
Strength be with both of you

Sunday
Didn't sleep well, so I slept through half the day. Good for low calorie eating.
Not really sore at all. Must be the long workout. Makes too much cortisol. I know it looks short, but there's 12-16 warmup sets. Next Sat I'll do chest and lats in the am. Leg press and deads at night. That should work a lot better.
Ab pinch is still 23 (from 25), so I'm at 11.1%. I'll see what the weight is tomorrow and figure what I've gained / lost.
I think I got it all figured out now. This week I think I'll just low carb it. I seem to eat much less that way, no idea why. Should work better I think. That and the new workout and I'll be stylin.
Well at least I hope so.

3 Week Summary
202 this am, still at 11.1%.
Lost about 2.5 lbs of fat. Gained 6.5 lbs of muscle. I don't know if the mass creatine loading on the carb load days just brought up my muscle weight or what. Prolly. 2.5 lbs of fat loss isn't bad. I think I can up that pace some. We'll see how the next 3 weeks goes.
Fat nnn
Muscle nnnnnnn

202 Mon
201.4 Tues
The gym was mobbed today. I couldn't find a cycle or a elliptical to warm up on. The leg presses were full, so I did some RDL's for warmup. Elll-lame-oh. (That's Mexican, go look it up).
Finally got on a leg press and tried to get moving. I think after 4-5 sets I was warmed up. Bah. So hard to tell if I was in the groove or not. Did some calfs, hams and I was done.
4 sets quads.
2 hams
2 calfs
Yesterday was chest/back day.
4 chest
4 back
2 tri
2 bi
Actual arm exercises. You saw it here first.....
Tomorrow, more dieting. Fun, fun.
I was going to go do a set of rotator cuff exercises. I'm skeptical at the moment, but I should do it. My durn ac ligament (that bump on top of your shoulder) is sore, so I should see if I can help it out. Keep it lose.
I think I should eat more. That or some meth perhaps.

201.2 yesterday
200.0 this am.
37.5" waist. Stylin. Was a hair under 38 Mon. It's hard to lose " water weight" around your hip bones, so I think I'm heading in the right direction.
Got some R-ALA yesterday, so I'll try 200mg per meal/snack. Helps with insulin sensitivity (read lower insulin levels, more fat loss). I like regular, we'll see if I can notice any difference with the super duper R version.
Crappy workout today! I can't wait. Workout till you feel like hurling, then drink carbs till you feel like hurling.
Thanks for stopping by.

Saturday workout
205 this am.
Slept like crap. Could have slept through my workout easy, but the wife was going, so I taged along. Too many beers me thinks.
No chest
Warmed up with some db rows, but my shoulder wasn't extra happy. I did a few sets of hammer low rows. Seemed ok.
Deadlifts
6 @ 385
4 @ 385
Good bar speed, even on the last one. Time for more weight.
I owned 3 plates.
I thought about legs, but they decided against it for me.

Forgot to weigh myself. Still 37.5. Hopefully I can hit 37 this week.
Today, back to dieting. Sunday wasn't terribly exciting. Went to a Superbowl party and ate a few too many things. Some cookies and a slew of beers. Could be worse I suppose.
Diet has been wonderous today. Light breakfast. Lean ground beef (oxymoron?) twice, two zone bars, and a whey shake, so far, and I haven't made it to dinner. I made myself eat breakfast early today, and I think it's helped a lot. I love it when I take my own advice.....
Did a little cardio this am to see if I could get into keto a little faster this week. I don't know if I've ever made it to keto actually. I always get lost near lowbloodsugar street. Anyway, my back was super tight after 15 minutes so I gave up.
In the afternoon I went back and did arms and back, which kind of sucks. Shoulder is still sore. sux. badly.
Man I'm so used to compound movements now, I barely get a rise out of my heart doing any sort of isolation work like pushdowns. I feel silly doing curls even. I love how squats and deadlifts just crush you. DB presses even. *sniff*
The evil wife want's to go to dinner. Blasted. Maybe I'll get a roasted chicken or something. The have the best pasta bolognese (however u spell that).

I know exactly what you mean. That's pretty much why I've given up on doing arms on their own day and pretty much altogether. I do them every now and then but I just feel funny doing them. Compound movements are where its at.

201.8 this am.
18 mm on the ab pinch today. Down 4 mm. Waist still 37.5 but the finger pinch test definitely feels smaller. I'm gonna have to say that something is working.
I was a total lazzy ass and didn't go to the gym yesterday. I think the low carbs is just killin' me. I've added some in today, and feel 1000 times better. ALA should keep me in check with the carbs I hope.
Well, off for my belated leg workout.

Friday update.... carb loading.
199 yesterday (thurs)
197.6 today. A record low as of late.
Probably helps that I ate hardly anything the last few days.
Thursday workout was lame as always. My right quad tendon is getting more sore. The vastus I think it is (outside one). Shoulder is still caput. Doesn't hurt too bad unless I try and lift with it.
I think I'll just take a week off next week. I don't want to get too far behind the 8 ball. Getting some more tattoo work Tues, so that will keep the body busy repairing itself.
Pasta, pasta, pasta. Coming out my ears now. Bleh.

Saturday
Well my big workout was snow boarding. I think I made it up to 204 if memory serves. I really wanted to deadlift some, but there was no way to squeeze it in.
This week, I'm going to take off. 201.8 and 10.2% BF now. This week I notice that I do have a serratus muscle (the super man muscle). Veins in my lats again. Waist refuses to move, but my stomach is getting smaller still. That takes me to -4.4 fat and +8.2 muscle.
Gaining muscle while dieting. I must have no catabolism.
Fat nnnn
Muscle nnnnnnnn
Tomorrow I go for 8 hrs of tattoo'ing, which might take 12. Joel is heading to Italy for a tattoo convention, so he offered 1/2 price. Can't pass that up.
peace

Deadlifts
I needed to do something, so deadlifts sounded like a good workout.
135 x 8
225 x 6
315 x 4
405 x 1 /pwn
475 x 1 (!)
475 miss
I was hoping for 455, but 405 was cake. The 35's sounded like a better choice. I might have had 5 more lbs in me, but I didn't make it but 3 inches on the second attempt, so that's pretty damn close. 50 lbs over my previous best. I'll have to take it.
5 plates is right there.
