IV. Daily Rant
Today was my first attempt at putting a band together. Essentially I got my friends that played instruments (or said they did) and we played for a while. Synopsis: We need a lot of work. I pretty much had to write the guitar, bass, drums, and vocals for the first[only] 2 songs we worked on. So as I was leaving we shuffled around cars and moved equipment. I had left my Jetta at the other guitarist's house until we got finished (20 minute drive back to town). So we go to his house and I notice my keys are missing. Ok, cool, I left them in my friend's car. We go to the restaraunt and all sit for a while. When it's time to go I check my friend's car and the keys aren't in there. **** me. I had to drive all the way back to the guy's house we practiced at (20 minute drive, again) and hope my keys were there. At this point it was pouring down raining and I ended up searching the ground in the pitch black for 15 minutes trying to find my keys. Finally, I found them in a huge tuft of grass. So we drive BACK to town, soaking sopping wet, and I get my car. Then...I get to drive another 25 minutes down to my apartment. Can you see the pattern? I get home really late and had to get up early to shower and make my lunch.

I'm sorry I've been neglecting the journal, but I've been hella busy the last few days.

My diet was all jacked this weekend due to MeatFest. MeatFest was fun stuff, but I think the wings were a bit too fatty for my diet and I went beyond where I should have been.

Max Effort workout! I am very proud of these! This was a spur of the moment thing but I am really glad I did it. I feel more confident in my strength levels now.

I had a lot to bitch about but I don't care too much anymore. I'll tell you a little about MeatFest.

MeatFest is an event that my friends have where we get a ton of animal products and grill and drink and play games and enjoy life. We bought a ton of steak (which I don't eat) and chicken (which I can!) and grilled all day and night. It was a pretty cool event and a lot of people showed up.

There are three cooks that work at a local restaraunt and two need to be on duty at all times. Well the guy who organized MeatFest invited the one cook who was our friend to MF. The other two cooks were there so he thought he would be nice and invite them too. Well the one calls off immediately and leaves the cool one to have to work that night. Bummer. Well it gets worse. The dude gets to the party and no one really sees much of him. Then, all of a sudden he comes down to the grill area totally smashed. We cut him off and he starts getting stupid. He is tackling girls and being a douche-bag. He can barely walk and the dude starts trying to climb a tree. I grab him and yank him out of the tree and in call him a stupid mah****er. I have pictures of him after being yanked out of the tree (maybe I'll scan and upload later). Finally we put him in a chair I tell him that if he ****ing moves from that chair I'm going to beat the **** out of him. I even put on my "angry voice" to let him know I meant bidness. So I wander elsewhere a moment and he gets up to get a coke. Instead of going back to his chair he sits down on the cooler and no one can get to the hard liquor. Well I get back and people are yelling at him and he isn't even flinching. Finally one of the larger guys there gets behind him and smacks him in the face (which I have a picture of). The kid takes off running to the neighbor's shed and cries for two hours. Two hours.I didn't even know the body could produce that many tears. It was one of those sad/funny moments where you felt bad but knew the kid deserved it. He's lucky no one was on a whiskey bender.

Then there is one of our good friends...
She is about 115 soaking wet and she took about 7 shots of tequila. Now, she is totally messed and starts crying about how fat she is. All night long she sat in the bathroom and cried about being fat. She's not even close to chubby let alone "fat." She kept trying to show us her boobs, but we told her not to so she'd save a little dignity. She took that as "I'm fat and ugly and no one wants to see my ugly-fat body." Oh man.

I was hoping for more out of the weekend, but when you help organize a party you tend to have to babysit the morons. Oh well, I guess that's that.

Only 4 weeks left on my cut. I gotta kick it up a notch.

Cutting Diet: Day 15 of 42

It's official. Today is the start of my final four weeks of the cut. If I want to be successful I need to be very dedicated to my diet plan or get a better diet plan. I didn't lose weight last week and I only lost a small amount from my caliper pinches. Not sure why, but I think this weekend may have had something to do with it. I am going to keep on my guns this week, do a tiny amount of aerobic activity and see if I make any progress. If not, I'll lower my calories and try another week. I am thinking the idea of a refeed assumes you are about 1000 calories under maintenance. That's about 1400 calories for me. I'd probably rather do cardio on my non-workout days than eat that low. One variable at a time though. If all else fails, the last two weeks I'll use some ECA or NYC.

Note: I've replaced my salad/dressing with oatmeal. I love oatmeal. From all I've seen and heard it's one of the best carbs you can ingest, so why not? I eat it 3 times a day. One time a day I even eat it raw and swallow it down with water. Too much hassle to cook .6oz of oatmeal, yo.

I hate living in an apartment...
hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate, hate.
I came home last night (unaware of the time) and applied some of that burning crap on my chest. I decided it was a good idea to do some rope skipping. Apparently my downstairs neighbor did not concur. I got the age-old "tap the broom handle on the ceiling" trick. She must not have appreciated the repeated jumping at 11:30pm. So I quit. I'm not the kind of guy who will go out of his way to piss people off. Ok, well I am, but not my neighbors who can kick in my car doors when I'm not paying attention. I hate living in an apartment.
Besides having the problem of neighbors, I have a tiny workout area. I had to pay big bucks for the smallest equipment I could get. Couple that with needing storage for other junk plus my girlfriend wanting to move in and you have a 2 bedroom apartment with no room for anything. It's not like I don't pay too much for it anyway. Living near a college inflates things without justification. I mean, it's a nice apartment, but not worth the discomforts. So now I realize I have no way of doing the cardio I want to do, short of going in the parking lot. I don't want to run and I don't have immediate access to any cardio machines. I don't want to cut my calories any further through diet so now I get to figure it out.

Things are always difficult. Today, instead of getting to do my long awaited leg workout, I get to haul a washer/dryer up two flights of steep stairs to my apartment then try to squeeze them into my tiny bathroom. They're free, at least, but I do not feel like carrying the damned things. Oh well, as is life. Teh suck.

IV. Stat Whore

That puts me at 10.13%. I see the outline of all of my abs at an angle but not head on. I am at least making progress, even though my pinches are inaccurate. I don't know why the hell I gained 1.5lbs this week. I weighed myself dry this morning. I'm not going to even think about it because I'm sure food and water weight has something to do with it.

Too bad the pinches are identical to my evening (after a day full of coffee) measurements from last week. I'm using some yohimburn on my man-boobs this week so I am going to do a little bit of cardio (maybe intervals of HIIT rope skipping).

I did well tonight! I had two dozen krispy kremes in my posession all day and didn't eat one. That's a testament to will power there. I also decided to cut down on the ALA to 1.8g/day.

Holy šhit what a crap ass weekend. I bought a brand new, 2002 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T this January. Nice car, relatively expensive. It's been in the shop 5 times now for different problems. What the hell? You pay nearly $25k for a car and it should not be in the shop that often.

I have to go to this awards ceremony thing for work which is at the main building, so I drive over and sit down. They are serving hotdogs, hamburgers, and cake. None of which, I'll eat. So I sit through this horrible event and finally get to leave to go back to the car. It's a little hot inside so I roll down both windows and I hear "clink, thud." No, I didn't just unzip my pants, my driver window fell into my door. I am about 1 hour away from my dealer so I can't get up there in time for them to fix it so I have to arrange to leave it. So I drive 30 minutes back home, on the highway, going 90. The wind is pretty bad to start with, augmented with my faster than usual pace and no driver window, and you get one pissed off guy. By the time I get out of the car I look like a $20 hooker at the end of her shift . So I turn over my car and find out they can't get it back to me until Monday. Great, so now I get to take a vacation day from work in order to get my damned window fixed. Wonder****inful.

So now I'm bound to my girlfriend until Monday night when I can get my car back, which means the places I get to go will be determined by her Hitler-esque judgement. Lovely.

Spoiler Type Info for Red Dragon
So I go out and we watch the movie "Red Dragon." I expected some gruesome, evil flick. Nope. It's more of a "feel bad for this guy" movie. The best part about the whole movie was the blind whore. She was whoring around the whole movie. Did she limit herself to just whoring around with people? NoooOoOOOo! She felt a Tiger's nutsack! HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT?!?! You can't. The movie lacked character development, which is an important part of any psychological thriller. If you don't understand the murderer then he is just some nut-bag killing people. The scary part is when you know why he is all nuts. You got about a 2 minute view of how he was abused as a child. I think they should have had about 1 hour and 45 minutes of the blind chick performing fellatio on the tiger and about 15 minutes of Anthony Hopkins eating people. Then you'd have a movie with the Galileo Seal of Approval.

I'm fairly certain I kept my calories under 2000, but I took my girlfriend out for sushi and the white rice I consumed may not have been the best idea. I got hungry very quickly after and I got a crazy sugar craving. Back to low GI eating for me.

I'm considering supplementing with ECA, NYC, or DN...er nevermind. Anyone feel strongly toward one or the other? I want to make sure my last two weeks of fat loss are optimal.

Supplementation: 600mg ALA, 1 pipette of yohimburn [I missed my vitamins and stuff.]

II. Training

Not bad considering how tired I was. I only worked out because I knew I had to. The good news is, I'm not losing strength. I should've added shrugs to my pull day.

I decided not to do deadlifts because I was pretty tired and I wouldn't want to compromise form on an excersize like that.

Thigh: 16mm

That puts me at around 9.4% bodyfat. To look at me you might say 10.5-11%. I can see a good outline on my abs now.

¹What's up with me not changing in bodyweight? I'm not going to complain, but it seems quite unlikely that I'm losing this much fat without losing bodyweight. I was thinking I'd be about 152 right now. I'll also rule out continuous water gain because my foods have been fairly consistent. Also, in the evening I am usually a bit heavier (161-162).

VI. Daily Rant
I refuse to get fat when I'm old. I walked into the bathroom, where most interesting things seem to take place, and I saw a guy taking a leak at the urinal. He was so fat that he had to reach around and under his gut to actually steady his schlonkey (psst, thanks for the word Gyno). If I ever get that obese I want to be shot with animal tranquillizers, wrestled to the ground (Brazillian JuJitsu style), and killed with tweezers and sporks from KFC.

My motivation levels were shot for a few days but now I'm back and ready to go. It seems like if I oversleep I feel like crap and don't really care about much.

As soon as my cut it over I will be starting a new journal with some new features! I know you're all wincing in anticipation, but you will have to wait!

Supplementation : I got about 600mg of ALA and 1 pipette of Yohimburn.

Yohimburn is doing me some good. This morning I am at about 10mm pinch on the nips down from about 15-16mm before I started. Not too shabby.

Excluding my 6 year old cousin, I have the weakest wheels in the world. This workout was pretty short, but when my training partner stops showing up, it tends to take a little longer to move weights, etc.

Why are people so inconsiderate? I called my training partner last night and queried him on whether he will make a guest appearance or not, since he failed to show up the last 3 workouts. He said he was tired and didn't know if he felt up to it. I was like "Cool, but call me if you decide not to show up." Two hours later I get no phone call. So I call his girlfriend's house. Yep. He's there. He made up some lame excuse about why he didn't call and all that bull****. Why couldn't he just call and tell me? What's so friggen hard about telling someone you can't come? If he didn't want to workout with me anymore, that's fine. I'll find someone else to lift with, no bif deal. But why do people feel the need to hide, lie, rationalize, club seals, and generally be a bitch?

I hate people who involve their lives fully in the occult. Some guy approached my friends and was like "You guys look like you're part of some subculture. Are you?" We were like..."Uh, yeah, sure." Then of course, a member the lower echelon in the group spouts out "Satanism." HA HA HA. SO FRICKEN FUNNY. God people piss me off. So this dude tells us he is a "paranormal researcher" but when asked questions about his craft he had half-answers, conjecture (which is all you can really have), and his ignorance was shining FULL BLAST BABY! Finally, he wrapped up with asking us to come to "Goth Night" at the local club. I took two steps for the door, grabbed a butter knife from the table and began to disembowel myself before the effects of his words fully absorbed into my cranium. As I lay there in a pool of my own entrails, I noticed a bright beam of white light at the end of a long tunnel. The light told me that I needed to return to Earth, because I had a mission in life. This mission was...to SLAP THE HELL OUT OF ALL YOU CULTIST MORONS. So get in line boys, I don't have time for chit-chat. I'm performing God's Will and I'll be damned if you're ghost-hunting ass is gonna stop me.

Still taking it easy on these.
leg extension: 90x8, 115x8, 140x8, 165x8, 190x8, 200x8
