Gap between bicep and joint?

Ive read about it somewhere, but cant for life of me find it. Bassically when i extend my arm and tense it, theres the nice bicep shape but when i retract my arm tight and tense it, theres a funny gap (filled with fat, but im working on that :-P) Im sure its because im not doing a certain type of exercise or not doing it properly. Whats caused this gap?

Genetics.......it will fill in to an extent w/ excercise, and maybe all the way but genetics have a lot to do with muscle shape.

Plus your 6'2'' like i am and being tall has disadvantages having longer muslces/arms.
