Nice bike ride, I love cycling out when weather permits, Here in uk it gets wet windy and cold about now, so i do indoor bike for cardio
Best cal burner going i believe

Saturday 1/16/10

Hikes "Stairway to Heaven" in Kaneohe, HI, technically its illegal. If you get there before the gate guard he doesn't say anything when you come down (As in my case today!) Amazing hike, AMAZING views.

I'm definitely jealous about the hikes and other outdoor activities (biking, scuba, etc.) you have available in your backyard living in Hawaii. Take full advantage :P

Greg, Hawaii is really an amazing place to be if your active. There's no shortage of things to do here. I miss home all the time but I stay so busy here it helps!!

Sunday 1/17/10

Spent the afternoon hiking with some friends at Kaena Point. Hiked for several miles and caught an amazing sunset.




Monday 1/18/10

After the run a friend and I went to the local bmx trails and rode until sunset, pic of me over one of the jumps:


This coming weekend some friends and I are planning a 15 mile hike in the mountains. Should be exciting!!

Two friends and I hiked 7 miles on a mountain ridge, it was a beautiful hike. Very tired afterwards. Took 6 hours.

(I was on a ride around the entire island, it should have been 112 miles, but I got recalled to work)

I would soooo get nowhere cycling or running where you are. Even here I get distracted by a pretty view and lose focus on my workout. I catch myself going slowly admiring the view instead of busting ass like I should be.

Absolutely beautiful though. I'd love to check it out at a liesurely pace someday.

.V. - I'm really glad I got into cycling, it's a great way ot spend a morning, or an afternoon. Your outside, taking in the views, etc. It's not that hard to concentrate on you're riding with amazing scenery around!

Greg, Yeah Hawaii's not so bad

Been running here and there, just haven't posted anything. Downloaded a great app for my iPhone: Cyclemeter, you can use it for hiking, cycling, running, etc. tracks everything. Well worth the $5.

Tomorrow I'm doing the "Swamp Romp" its a 5 mile race through the mud at the Kaneohe Marine Corps base, i have a team of six, we all run the entire course and in order to "finish" we ALL have to make it. Should be fun!!

Swamp Romp 5mile run

Not sure on the time yet but it wasn't anything spectacular. It was a group event so my team was 6 all together. A lot of the run was trudging through deep mud pits, it was a blast though!! Here's a picture afterwards:
