warm-up:
SMR and static stretching
Burgener WUx3
handstand holds
20# DB swings: 10 reps
workout:
Five rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
65 pound Thruster, 30 reps (sub 45#)
time: 22:24
comments:
holy sh$t that was BRUTAL. I wanted to quit on round 2. Thrusters are my least favorite exercise. I think it goes Thrusters, then burpees, then wall ball then SDHP's. First set went 15/15 the rest 3x10. First 2 runs at 8.0 last 3 at 7.8. legs and shoulders completely fried.
baby pukie came bye (baby pukie because I just puked a little in my mouth) during the run on the 4th round. Sorry if that is TMI. ha.
I was on the ground for 10 min post WOD. didn't stop sweating for about 30 min. I also might have to retire this gym top after today. I don't think I can get the sweat smell out of it...oh well it had a good 3 year run.
Food:
carbs: 208g 33%
protein: 204g 40%
fat: 63g 27%
total cals: 2179
getting closer to 2200 cals. probably will eat more and hit 2200. Last night woke up 3 times starving. I think I drank my second protein shake too early. I need to drink it in bed when I am falling asleep, drank it 45 min beefore I fell asleep and was hungry again and couldn't fall asleep so munched on 1/2 zone bar. bf has requested I unwrap zone bars before bed and keep them in a zip lock bag on the nightstand. He's tired of hearing me mess with the wrapper in the dark 2-3 times per night..i don't blame him!
The athletic director at my gym suggested I go to the doctor to see why my appetite is so crazy then also suggested I possibly go on an appetite suppressent...I dunno about that.

he was serious? but thats crazy being that you are in such great shape. Clearly the extra calories are doing you good as you are getting stronger and faster all the time.
I wouldn't go messing with my body by taking any pills like that : if you are hungry it is probably because you have fired up your metabolism and its working super hard! if you start getting pudgy then you can worry, for now enjoy the food lol

EAT, EAT, EAT maybe more fats before bed. Like a big scoop of PB in ricotta cheese.
I would kill you if you woke me up with the wrapper 3x per night. I like my sleep.

Eat, and eat some for me.
You've got to tweak what you are eating before hitting the sack to solve the midnight munchie problem.

I can't imagine you are doing yourself any good by either undereating or disturbing your sleep. I think you need to resolve this if you are going to put yourself out there as a trainer. People will be looking at you as a lifestyle role model.
There is nothing you can do to your body that can't be undone if you just give it a try. Move out of that comfort zone!

Brat I am TRYING to resolve this! I have been eating, and I highly doubt (never say never right) I would ever take an appetite suppressent! I've been doing better with the higher fats/higher protein slightly lower carbs. It's takse a lot of playing around and note taking but I think days with the ratios of 40% protein/30-35% carbs and 25-30% fat are the days I sleep better.
I've been pretty consistent with eating over 2000 cals. Most days this week were over 2100, and the weekends have been 2500 for the past 2 weeks. Last night I only ate once 1/2 zone bar around 11:30 when I went to the bathroom. I actually didn't wake up STARVING, but I ate a little more just so I wouldn't. then i finally made it through the rest of the night! I'm going to stick to 2100-2200 for another week or so and see how that goes. Remember when this first started I was only eating 1700-1900 2000 was rare and on a super hungry day. So for me this is a big jump! Lately when i see my cals at 1900 I'm thinking wow I didn't eat much, and before I would have said holy cow I ate SOOOOOO much today. kinda funny.
Lady C I think you are right, I might need a little more fat before bed. I've been chomping on some almonds...peanut butter in ricotta cheese? wow interesting...maybe I'll try that, sounds a bit unappealing to me! The protein shake in bed right before I am falling asleep is really helping, too early and I wake up hungry. I need to get some casein protein. The only ones I saw in the supplement store were full meal replacements and the dudes working in the shop sadly didn't know anything about nutrition or suppliments so they were of no help. I'm going again today so I will take another look. oh someone over on CF suggested I try mixing Kefta? Keta? something like that into my shake. Anyone familiar with it?
Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of being able to experiment too much as I have signed a contract that pretty much states my body will not change much! Speaking of which I have a Nike casting on Monday (legs only) good thing I trashed them this week. that also means no deads because I cannot show up with bruises.

I think all of us who manage to get ourselves fit and into shape should sign a contract with ourselves that our body will not change much!
Congrats on the casting gig. Legs only is a great start. Maybe they will be your claim to fame. Then you can change your name here from gymgirl to gymlegs.

I've never tried it but I mentioned it because I know you don't like cottage cheese. I blend up cottage cheese until it is smooth (in blender) and add chocolate and PB. So try the full fat ricotta with the PB and chocolate. Let me know if it is a go!

That's what's holding you back from finding a solution right there. You can't afford to take a risk (in your mind). I thought you had complete freedom to experiment but you don't so I won't comment on it anymore. You have priorities and commitments. If it's your job you gotta do it!
Funny you say you eat more compared to a year ago. So you eat 300 calories more a day, big deal, you are easily going at 2-3 times the workout intensity you did a year ago!
Kefer or kefir may be the product you were told about. It's like a thick milk that is fermented with bacteria sort of like yogurt. That's all I can think of it may be.
Good luck on Monday. If all goes well you be rewarded for your overnight suffering!

you are totally right. I can't believe I didn't think of it like that! I guess I am training harder, but it dosen't seem like it because my workouts are so much shorter. hahaha.
I do have sooooome freedom, more then regular fashion models, but from what the agents told me is if your card and pictures says one thing, and you show up looking and measuring otherwise it can put you out of a job. So when the casting agents see pictures of my abs from a few months ago I have to be able to show up looking just like that or better. If I look worse i lose the job and most likely others that they would book in the future. I hope that makes sense. Hopefully an inch or two in the legs won't matter if it is muscle as that is less obvious but if I start putting on a little fat, that might screw me in the long run.
Kefir, that's it! I'm gonna have to do some reading about that.
ahhh yeah Lady C I do hate cottege cheese! I'll try the ricotta and see what happens and report back...I also want to try minimes thing of yogurt with whey.
pierini, LOL gymlegs. too funny. I agree I like the idea of the fitness contract.
thanks everyone for the good luck wishes! b/f suggested I get a pedicure since I have to show up with feet and toes in good condition. I've only had one in my life because I am too lazy to drive somewhere and pay someone to paint my toes. lol maybe i should do it this time since I have blisters on my toes, and I can't paint my nails to save my life! i should probably trim my toe hairs too. hahahaha

Tell him to give you one and with the money you save him and you can go out on a cheat-meal date. Maybe have a glass or two of vino.
I need a pedicure too. With all my years of running and martial arts training, my toes and nails are shot. The casting agents will be sending you home early if yours look like mine.
