Looking good gymgirl!

You carry your muscle well. Your body appearance in the photos looks like a track athlete to me. Maybe a 100 meter sprinter, 100 meter hurdler, or possibly a long or triple jumper.

Your legs aren't big at all! they must have been pretty 'weedy' a year ago lol! Your shoulders/back and arms look really good, i think you have gained some muscle in that area! abs still showing so you haven't gained any fat

Thanks minime and pierini! I just feel so bulky and am not feeling 100% yet with this new weight. I'm glad you don't think my legs look too big minime, because when I look in the mirror I feel unpreportioned, like my legs are big and upper body small. oh and my legs were twigs last year for sure. now if I can just figure out how to get some definition in the legs. I keep getting different advice from everyone. my old trainer told me to try intermittent fasting, don't think I could do that though.

pierini, thanks for the comment, I've always wanted to look like a sprinter or any kind of track and field athlete, too bad I can't run like one! lol

I feel you gymgirl. They used to tell me I looked like Popeye doing a hand stand because my lower body is so much out of proportion to my upper. However, you don't look dispurportional to me. You look right on target. iIhave to agree with pierini. You do look like you have a sprinters body. :

Any word on the other photoshoot?

I have to disagree with the others. I think you went from looking like a dieting fitness/figure competitor (when you first got here) to now looking exactly like a Crossfit trainer. You do look bigger all over and less cut, but it is in a very healthy way. It comes across well in photographs.

If you didn't get it, that was a total compliment! :

Throw out your damn scale before it ruins you! The lady who trains Crossfit at the NCR location is my height the same or slightly less bodyfat % and she weighs a freaking 40# more than me! Yes her body structure is slightly different but not enough to account for the difference. It's all her training and the Zone. She also looks great in a crop-top as do you.

thanks, LadyC, your_crazy and brat.

LadyC: I don't know why squatting heavier just adds mass to me, but dosen't get me cut...maybe I need to add more 3x12 days into the mix or something...maybe my legs just aren't the type of legs to get that chiseled look...i dunno.

your_crazy: glad i don't look disproportional to you, either. I guess we are all our own worst critics. As for the photoshoot...see below:

brat: thanks. I went back to look at my pictures from a little over a year ago, and noticed I do look smaller over all, i really noticed it in this picture: http://new.photos.yahoo.com/crazy4ho...803132364915/0
I guess now I need to figure out how to keep the mass I've gained but re-gain the cut look without looking like a dieting figure competitor!

comments:
todays CF WOD was 10k but I was very short on time and wanted to get some weights in. Haven't had time to log food, pretty much same as usual.

Good news though, couldn't make that casting, but the client let me submit those photos above along with a few more. They ended up direct booking me, which I am shocked about. I go to portland tomorrow for the shoot. It's another Nike one which I am stoked about, shorts, tanks, sports bras i believe. I never thought I'd book 1 nike job and you can imagine my surprise to have my only 2 jobs be for nike? The coolest part is they have hair and make-up so I can just show up and they will make me look decent (well the best they can do to make me look decent lol). oddly enough there is a casting for something else in the same building tomorrow so they scheduled me to stop there first...I'll be running around like mad tomorrow but it should be fun. I gotta go pack now.
sorry i haven't gotten a chance to comment in all ya'lls journals recently, after tomorrow things should slow down and i'll be back to annoying ya'll and asking questions about your workouts.

Great job on the shoot!

I think if you just add in one workout per week that focuses on core legs and not alot of cardio that day, you should see a difference in appearance after a few months. I have large muscles on my legs so skinny issues escape me.

thanks Brat, your_crazy and ladyC.

LadyC I'll try your suggestion.

well I've been so lazy at updating my journal, but not much fitness wise to report. went down for the shoot on Wednesday, almost missed my train there due to a huge accident ran on just as the train was departing. got there went to an audition for a commercial then went to my shoot. they got me into hair and make-up and the lady explained that they are going for a rough and gritty feel which meant she was going to spray me down with water and rub dirt all over me! yes actual dirt from her yard. It was actually pretty cool since all the photos are in that black/white/grey look (not standard B+W and not sephia) it's hard to explain. after about 1 hour of hair/make-up, along with chicken cutlet things to make my boobs bigger lol, they introduced me to the art director and photog, and we started shooting. I was super nervous and did horribly for the first hour or so. There were like 15 people all guys 2 girls and I was the only model. This shoot for somereason was very intimidating. I did a lot of static shots, some running, piviot movements, etc over and over and over. in between every couple of shots the make-up lady would run up and spray me with evian water (apperently regular water is no good?). there was even a girl who's whole job was to manage the fan so my hair would blow right in the shot...lol what a weird experience. Also on this shoot I didn't have one break I shot the whole 5 1/2 hours and only took time to change outfits.. Finally after an hour or so the art director said my confidence had really gone up and we were getting some great shots, then things really moved along. I think in the future I need not let my nerves get the best of me and I need to go in confident from the get-go. It's weird that the first shoot was much easier then this one.

anyway, on my train ride back i got an awful sore throat and have been sick since. I think the 5 hours of being sprayed down with water and put infront of a fan when I was just recovering from a cold did me in. I was hoping to workout today, but am exhaused and throat still sore. I'll be hitting CFS class tomorrow moring for sure. 3 days off feels weird. oh i was quite sore from wednesday though, lots of sprinting and flexing, my glutes are killing me!

one last thing, i had to model 2inch booty shorts with 15 people standing and watching, after that i think i can handle anything! thank god for airbrushing..lol

i've slept the past two nights without waking up to eat. wednesday i barley had 1100 cals yesterday was 1900 i think, but no workout. my fitday is all jacked up, i posted foods under the wrong dates.

oh and minime you will appreciate this. the photog would keep telling me be 'fierce' haha just like ANTM.

and another funny tidbit, the make-up artist was teasing me because they would tell me so many things that it was hard to remember it all, a lot of them contradictory too.
'be strong, but not intimidating, feminine, but masculine, fierce but approachable....don't lean forward but chin down...move left, head right, arms left, keep the logo visable, arms forward but back....OMG i can't remember it all! so funny.

Sooooo . . . .after all that, do you still want to keep doing this (photos, modeling, etc.)?

I did legs on Monday, rowing Tuesday, chest Wednesday, ran Thursday. I could hardly move (legs) Tuesday and this morning (legs again) so I decided it was time to rest. So yeah. . . I can relate to the soreness. The wierd thing is the rowing made my inner thighs (up high) real sore. Have you noticed that?
