you bet i did! I wait up for that post every night. the video was good, spealer really showed everyone how it's done. I knew he was a mainaic from his posts but it was great to see it in the video. this double unders were very impressive.
tim, minime thanks for the comments on the squats. my legs are actually sore today. my math is a little bad, did you get 165% with BW of 105? I weight 110# now! This is not going ot help my CFT. grrrr.
Pierini, I'm actually having a 'fat month' I get these months where I just feel fat/bloated all month, then back to normal the next month. kinda wierd, but i was just too hot to care. haha. Pierini that must be rough not having AC, but your fan sounds like it helps quite a bit! I love your story about getting butt naked and howling at the moon. that is some good stuff right there. you should post up a video on youtube. haha.
minime, i had to taste test the brownies this morning...boy were they good.i had like a tiny crumb but it still tasted good! I better get rid of them before I eat a whole one!
I have a casting today for a photoshoot that would take place at my gym! Unfortunately I feel bloated (shouldn't but do) for no reason. augh.

I remember when we were at the old apt and we had a little heatwave a few weeks back, it went up to 100 i think and we had no A/C it was absolutely horrible! Now we have A/C and I don't know how I would live without it long term like you pierini! I am not good with anything over 90.
gymgirl maybe it is TOTM for you? Whenever I begin to feel fat i figure its around the corner (mine do not come the same day every month) Actually I am feeling right now like that, so maybe it is that time.
I would think your BF would be happy to see you walking around naked lol! I guess he doesn't want the neighbours checkin' out your fine squat booty

workout:
For time:
25 Walking lunge steps
20 Pull-ups
50 Box jumps, 20 inch box (bench)
20 Double-unders
25 Ring dips (assisted ring dips, 25#)
20 Knees to elbows
30 Kettlebell swings, 2 pood (30# db)
30 Sit-ups
20 Hang squat cleans, 35 pound dumbells (20#db's)
25 Back extensions
30 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball (12# ball)
3 Rope climb ascents (45 rope pull-ups)
time: 19:41
comments:
actually made all 20 double unders without stopping, took one reg jump between each double under. hang squat cleans hurt. wall ball sucked and rope pulls sucked up the most time. my grip was gone and my hands were so sweaty i just kept slipping off the rope.
minime, no not TOTM. You know i might just be bloated from all that drinking I did over the holiday weekend. 5 days of straight drinking must be it! lol I usually get bloated about 1 week before TOTM, but its still pretty early. I'm feeling a bit better today though. oh and minime, that is great your new place has AC! definitely makes the boston summers tolerable.
Hi, JDR. thanks for the comment on the pic. baby gymgirl loved swimming and diving. haha.
tim, thanks
so yesterday was crazy busy. got off work at 3pm and had to drive a bit south for 1 casting where I actually had to use exercise equipment. ha. then back in my car through traffic up north for the second casting, then stuck behind trains and finally made it to the gym right around 5pm. after gym had to run across town to meet up with my friend who's b-day it was. i had some grilled halibut and asparagus at whole foods then i took him out for a drink and was really wanting a glass of wine but didnt' have anythiing, just got water. I'm so tired today, thank goodness it's a rest day. still warm here but only 80 degrees and kinda rainy!

Hi gymgirl,
I'm tired to, from reading your post!
Enjoy your rest day. Isn't today your "cheat day" where you eat your 3-cheese ravioli dish? That's something I would eat as an appetizer and call light.

How did you do that, exactly? I'm curious.
BTW, excellent work on the Devil WOD.

Thanks, did you see gaucoins name for the WOD? 'the twisted twelve'. ha, good stuff.
anyway I do assisted dips by taking those handles for the cable machine Straps, ropes and handles for weight machines - nylon, padded, commercial quality body building accessories for machine weight lifting (imagine 1) but with a longer strap. and i put them through/over the bar part of the assisted dip machine. It gives you the unstability of rings but also some assistance.
pierini, you are right tonight is my light 4 cheese ravioili night! I just ate 4 egg whites and veggies and am still starving. I can't pig out too much because i have a shoot on Tuesday, so back to diet diet diet this weekend. I might go to the Mariners game saturday and will break down and have a beer. I can't go to safeco field, sit in the sun watch baseball and not have a beer....it's just not right. I might have some peanuts too. man i love baseball!

CFS class, 8am
lots of people again this sat. probably 15 or so. usually have 4-8.
warm-up:
x3
squats
push-ups
downward dog
dive bommer
cobra
knees to chest
shoulder warm up with PVC
workout:
partner assisted pistols 5 per leg
unassisted pistols, 5 per leg (first time getting 5 on my left leg!)
low rep-high difficulty pull-ups:
L-pull-ups, 5 reps
attempted 1 rep with 10lbs wall ball inbetween legs while doing L-pull-up. very sloppy form
pull-ups for speed/height: 10 reps
group run to park: 400m
sprinting drills and practice:
20 yards x10
group run back to gym: 400m
30 KB snatches: 8kg, done unbroken, not timed but I was done very quickly.
comments:
on the first rep of L-pull-ups my shoulder popped when about 1/2 way up. it didn't hurt bad, just ache, and now i feel like i did when i had tendonitis. I'm guessing the tendon had to move around something. having to to keep your legs up must cause some sort of internal rotation in the shoulder and i must have hit a sticking point or something. the joint feels a bit sore, but i had no problem doing kipping pull-ups or the KB snatches. I'm a little sore now, feels like internal rotator. just iced and feel like i need some trigger therapy. Anyway this workout was kinda boring today, I was hoping for a good metcon. the sprining drills were good, but i wanted to do some weights! didn't get to go to my gym because i had a hair appt right after.
Later:
my old trainer and i met up at the beach by my apt and set-up his slack line in this sandy area with trees. It was really fun there were other people there and 2 other lines. everyone helped everyone out. I finally was able to get up on the line but can't really take any steps! I got a great pic of him on the line drinking a beer and talking on his cell phone. i gotta post it up once i upload it! i coulnd't believe how crowded the beach was, it was 6 at night and only 75-80, but the place was packed!
didn't have time to log my food, this is the first time i am sitting down today. summer comes and i get so busy.

Interesting workout. Now I've got to find out what a downward dog and dive bomber are.

hey andy! here is a downward dog http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/491_1.cfm
divebommer is when you go from that position, bending your elbows you lower your chest to the ground and push your hips forward so you end in the cobra pose http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/471_1.cfm

rest day
batman squats: 20 reps
Tim I thought of you this morning and had to give batman something a try! opted for squats since my shoulder is still sore.
planned on getting up and hitting the gym for Diane, but just wanted to relax this morning before I had to get up and going. Also am extreamly sore from the pistols and sprinting yesterday. Bent over and was in pain so thought it would be smart to skip the deads today.
Went to the Mariners game with a friend today, but met at his place before hand. He made an amazing brunch. some eggs with a mole, some sort of cooked crepe/or very thin tortilla stuffed with cous cous green onions and i think cheese, then 1/2 a crissont topped with some sort of rasperry preserves. We also had mimossas with fresh squeezed OJ. so freckin good. walked to safeco field about 3/4 mile. the game was great, had 1 beer and then my friend went to get food and came back with a small cup of ben and jerrys for me. I only had 1/2 then gave the rest to him. I had a great day, then we walked back, another 3/4 mile, so I got a little bit of exercise in. It was only supposed ot be 75 degrees today so I thought i'd be ok with jeans, but I was roasting. sweated up a storm. I've had an amazing weekend and am bummed to go back to work tomorrow.
didn't log food today, but ate good when i got home.
