Hi Gym girl,

I really enjoy reading your journal. Do you keep every meal in a 40 40 20 ratio or just at the end of the day when your totaling all the calories?

Thanks!

Hi, Pineapple

Thanks! I keep my food 40 carbs, 30 protein, 30 fat, in each meal and snack, not just at the end of the day with total calories. That's how i used to do it, but that is not really the 'zone'. It's a bit of a pain at first but is getting easier!

You have a crystal-clear nice voice gymgirl and you interviewed well.

I was disappointed when you were listing the exercises you do not like that you failed to mention burpees. Now everyone is misled.

It would have been fun to see a little of you doing "Cindy" in the video interview.

CrossFit website today, the National Inquirer and People magazine tomorrow. Watch out for gymgirl!

thanks pierini and good point. I forgot to mention a lot of things! I was so tired and sick that everything i wanted to say flew out of my brain, my disdain for burpees included!

p.s. i hope to stay out of the national inquirer!

Hi gymgirl,

I loved watching your interview. Your are a great spokeswoman for crossfit. The only thing I could not figure out was your pic on the main page. Did they catch you exercising or were you practicing some of your dance moves?

I bet it won't be long before one of your handstand pic are featured on crossfit's site. Keep inspiring us with your workouts.

darn i am unable to watch your video as i am at the library and there is no sound on the computers! grrr!

the zone diet is tough to get used to! I remember when i started trying to do it properly, i had a hard time getting my carbs higher than my protein! it takes a bit of getting used to alright when you are used to eating tons of protein and now you can only have 4oz or whatever.. and i hear ya on the broccoli too!

right now i have the zone diet cookbook and top 100 foods as well as the regular book, and if i were to eat all the vegetables they recommend i would be broke and nauseous! lol. I mean, who eats 6 cups of mushrooms, 2 cups of peppers and a head of lettuce in one sitting.. ha ha

anyway i hope you are feeling better, i read on the board that you were sick after your six mile run. Did it pass or is it a flu or something?
