Hi GG,

I've had that bluecheese steak at the Keg before. I thought it messed up a good piece of meat though. Just give me a steak done rare at the Keg with a side salad and I'm done for the night. Well maybe a 12 oz Guinness on the side....

What he said.

Hey gg, since I dropped the ball on journal following, it appears you are strictly X-fit nowadays?

Interesting reading. More updates please.

JDR, V-

HI! Sorry I keep forgetting to update! Life has been super busy and trying to fit in my own training has been rough!

quick update...so I worked a bunch of certs got bronchitis took over 2 weeks off, started to get better took about 2 weeks to gain strenght then off to GSX for antoher cert. That cert was badass, we had a great crew. while we were there we did snatches and clean and jerks at lunch. one of my favorite parts is the lunch time trainer wods, this cert josh everett was working too so doing heavy oly lifts with him was priceless. i PR'd on my power clean and jerk (135#) which was awesome. next day todd, lance (he just qualified in TX for teh games) and i did the 100 inverted burpees. I did the actual kip like the breakdancing move which took me a bit longer, 11:42 they finished in 10 min with the regular roll to handstand. great workouts.

got home worked out 3 days then went to hawaii. in the 6 days i got in 4 workouts between lying on the beach or by the pool. haha. went to CF oahu one day (actually did my very first level 1 in 2007) with one of the girls who works there) so i emailed her beofre the trip and we got to come workout. the rest of the time we did wods in the hotel gym.

now i am back 1.5 weeks till regionals. i don't really feel ready but i almost dont care. training got too stressful taht i stopped enjoying it and prob why i stopped logging here. it was too stressful always trying tomake sure i did the RIGHT wod. should i go heavey should i do metcon what should i work i dont want to leave out anything that might bite me in the ass. this past week or two i got over it and ill just go out and give it my all. if i qualify cool, if not oh well i will get to have a blast cheering on my friends who already qualified! we have a lot of ex collegite women basketball and track athletes up here so i really feel behind the pack already. one girl deadlifts 375 others are great runners so it all depends on what comes out of the hopper.

as far as workouts they are going well! how is everyone?

Great to hear from you Gg!

Sounds like you are ready for regionals. Glad to hear you final said F*** it, and just
go and give it your best! YOU ARE READY - now don't over think it.

Don't let anyone's background or numbers get in your head. Lets face it, most of
the time on the WOD's it comes down to heart and mental toughness, and you got
both!

P.S. - I know a couple of people who did regionals!

William Dotterwiech did the regionals for Nor-Cal, he came in 6th! He missed 5th by 2 points..........He was in 15th after day 1,he killed the day 2 wod, which was brutal if you got a chance to see it. He is only 18!
I was his little league coach with my sons! He use to workout at my gym about a year ago and the timing was right on a few occasions that I got to do the WOD with him. I could tell then he would be a beast if he stayed with it.
I believe he trains at Sacramento CF now.

Blair Morrison came in 2nd at the Mid-Atlantic regionals. Two of my best friends were
his high school baseball coaches. Played softball with him up in Lake Tahoe about 3 yrs ago and we talked a little CF.
He's a trainer back in DC now.

And you will make 3!
Good Luck, have fun and Kick Ass!
