yes she is freaky looking - im guessing she wont last the pace, but dont ruin it for me! I like the red headed girl mollie sue - i think she is adorable!

yes tara reid with her silly giant boobs! I think fake boobs are so dumb! I really cannot fathom why anyone would want them. I think it looks so unattractive - a skinny girl with giant boobs that look like melons! have u seen victoria beckham lately?! As for the lipo - jeez u want a six pack get your a** to the gym and put some work in. Oh, and laying off the beer might help too...that girl is a serious party animal right?

I am beginning to think kevin federline may be THE most unattractive man in existence. What was britney thinking? oh, did u see furonda on gofugyourself? somebody send her a sandwich!

i begin to think that our journals are becoming more like discusscelebrities.com! lol i hope nobody minds the 'mindless gossip' !

hmm im hungry again.. darn - it never ends!!

i agree 100%. also yes, k-fed is the most unattractive guy. he is always photographed out smoking and drinking, while britney is home with the kids. i missed furonda on gofugyourself, i will need to check that out! the celeb gossip is so addicting!

ok time for the workout stuff!

thursday, october 12, 2006

cardio:
20 min on eliptical, 2.5 miles

warm-up:
double dirty dog walks: 100 reps each side

did some foam rolling and streching before my trainer. my glutes are hurting in the not so good way.

workout:

my trainer had me do his medicine ball wheel for abs, lots of sit-ups with medicine ball throwing.

"J.T."

21-15-9 reps of:
Handstand push-ups
Ring dips (sub regular 25lbs of assisted dips x 3 so rounds. reps: 63,45,27)
Push-ups

time: 22:43

not pleased with the time, but dips killed me. we had to sneak back into the little trainer office area to do the HSPU so nobody would see. i actually did 21 unassisted and unbroken! that was awesome, but it screwed me for the dips! dips were severly broken, couldn't do more then 8 then they went down to sets of 3 or 4 lol. dips killed my time, then push-ups after dips were very hard. my first set was 2! lol this one 'blasted' my shoulders today.

after JT we did the push-jerk WOD from the other day, but altered the reps a bit.

push-jerk:

2-2-2-2-2-2-2 reps

45/50/55/60/65/70/PR!-75

actually almost all of those should be my PR! i had push pressed 60lbs the other day, but never push jerked. i was quite pleased with 75lbs which as my trainer pointed out is just about 3/4 of my bodyweight.

food:

carbs: 191g 39%
protein: 165g 39%
fat: 40g 22%

total cals: 1721

been hungry all day!

thanks minime! and yeah tim, so lame. the owner and i got into another discussion about HSPU the other day. i asked him directly what is so dangerous and how it was any different from the treadmill or walking. he just kept rambling about insurance. i told him i obviously signed a liability waiver when i joined the gym, but he claims that dosn't cover anything.

oh also 1/2 way through JT my trainer looks at me and says 'oh crap! i forgot to start my stopwatch!" you should have seen the look i gave him, almost had his head. then he said he was kidding. apperently most of his clients don't care about their time so if he said that to them they'd just say who cares?

HAPPY FRIDAY! WHOOOO it's the weekend *i'm doing a little dance right now*

i know so annoying, no reasoning whatsoever. i'm glad my trainer thinks it is stupid too.

oh yes i had my regular friday night cheat meal of light 4 cheese ravioli. i am such a pasta fan. i may have another cheat meal this weekend too. that girlie crap must be comin around soon becuse i cannot stop eating. i have been starving and craving salty foods. right now i really want some peanut butter filled chocolate covered pretzles. then i want to dip them in a frosty from wendys. oooh and wendy's french fries...yeah i want fries. maybe what i really want is that chubby hubby ice cream from ben and jerrys. i'll settle for the 1/2 baked frozen yogert. how bad is it that i didn't tell the b/f i have some in the freezer? if i tell him he can't wait and will dig in and eat the top part. i love the top 1/2 of the pint that is where all the chunks are. once you get to the bottom it is just ice cream.

my workout was kinda all over the place today, but i felt like i got a lot done.

cardio:
31 min on eliptical, 4 miles

warm-up:
did some of my internal and external rotation exercises for my shoulder.
then some stretching and foam rolling.

workout:

took this WOD from 8.19.06

95lbs squat clean, 21 reps (subbed 55lbs)
42 back extensions
95lbs squat clean, 15 reps (subbed 55lbs for 7 reps then down to 45lbs)
30 back extensions
95lbs squat clean, 9 reps (subbed 45lbs)
18 back extension

time: 13:34

i almost stopped the whole workout during those 15 squat cleans, my shoulder was really starting to bother me. once i lowered the weight it felt better. those squat cleans were really tough after the back extensions. really felt that one all over.

squats: 45lbs 2x20

Today's WOD:

Tabata Squats

In twenty seconds, do as many squats as you can, then rest 10 seconds. Repeat this seven more times for a total of 8 intervals, 4 minutes total exercise. The score is the least number of reps for any of the eight intervals

20/20/18/19/18/19/18/18

score= 18

SLDL: 45lbs 1x20, 2x15

three rounds of:
21's on bosu: 10lbs db
hammer curls: 12.5lbs db

arms were quite heavy after this!

some guy came up to me today and said, 'wow you are always doing some crazy stuff in here, i'm gonna look to you for all the new stuff'. kinda funny, but nice to hear someone say something positive instead of just looking at me funny, or telling me to do HSPU on a matress like that dude a few months ago.

today feels like the actual real first day of fall here. lately it's been sunny and in the high 60's and even got to 70. today all of a sudden it is closer to lower 60's foggy, and leaves are starting to fall. perfect day to relalx on the couch with my blanket,as i have last weeks episodes of: studio 60 on the sunset strip, hero's, the bachelor, lost, the office, real world road rules challenge, one tree hill, laguna beach, dancing with the stars AND cooking programs on the FN to catch up on! DVR's and TIVOs are some of the best inventions! also just got a yummy burrito from my favorite place. mmmmmm.

have a good weekend!

Gymgirl.... JDR3 told me you asked where I had been. Thanks for checking in on me. The company I work for has been laying off a bunch of people and I have been working 16 hour days for the past 3 weeks and weekends. It's been really stressful to say the least. Good news is I still have my job, bad news is I have no idea who is going to do all the work. I am starting back to my work-outs because I sooooooooooooo need them. I have been crazy lately not being able to get to the gym and "sweat it out".

So... in the spirit of destressing I had a hot rock message and a pedicure yesterday. It was totally relaxing and just what I needed. I was pure jello by the end of the day and back to workouts today.

Anyway.... thanks for checking in on me. No-frills....;0)

hey no-frills! glad to see you back around here! i'm am very sorry to hear about all the stress you have been dealing with at work. i was in a very similar situation at my last job. i was in a department of 8 that got cut to a department of 3. i can completely relate to that feeling of being completely overwhelmed and working long days, knowing you will never get everything done. i skipped the gym for weeks and didn't even eat all my meals. i finaly realised, they needed me more then i needed them. soon enough i was able to set limits again and get back to the gym, and only work 8-10 hour days instead of 12-14! anyway sorry for the long ramble, just wanted to say i understand what you are going through, and i hope things get back to normal for you very soon. that stress can really take a toll on you. sounds like you've got it right getting a hot stone massage and pedicure, you damn well deserve it! glad to see you back here!

rest day

for once cross-fit and my schedule matched up!

food:

saturday: workout day and another cheat meal
carbs: 206g 46%
protein: 121g 27%
fat: 63g 32%

total cals: 1849

sunday: rest day
carbs: 211g 40%
protein: 171g 39%
fat: 43g 22%

total cals: 1854

cals were high today but i was so hungry all day. spent a lot of time in the kitchen. i made some 'protein pancakes' from a recipe i found in shape magazine. egg whites, oats, 4 scoops of whey. it was actually pretty decent tasting. made a smoked salmon and goat cheese frittata with egg beateres, halibut and broccoli for dinner. i love cooking on rainy cold sundays.

just got sucked into the reality show about girls trying to make the dallas cowboys cheerleading squat. why why why do i get sucked into this? i think i'll go watch something better now, like the bachelor.

Hi gymgirl,

Your avatar photo looks awesome. You've done the hard work and you deserve to bask in your glory.

There comes a time when it's time to give service. To help someone else who needs help in achieving their fitness goals. I'm sure you do that already, just wanted to say that I think that's where you are at with your fitness. Give service, help someone else because their success will be your success.

Keep up the good work!

wow, thanks pierini that's very kind of you. you know funny you should mention that becuse, someone actually asked me for advice recently, and i am still working on my email back to them. i'm more then happy to help however, i still feel as though i don't know much about fitness. i think i am finally figuring out what works for me, but i have no idea how to go about helping others achieve their goals. i guess all i can do is share what has been helpful to me, and hope it can help others.
