haha i sure didn't! actually i haven't had any alcohol since hawaii! even saturday night at b/f's bands show!

thanks everyone for letting me vent. part of it must have been hormones, but still it is quite irritating.

brat you are right about the circuit training, it is quite hard in a regular gym setting, but i also make sure that i train during non-peak hours. during the week i am there anywhere between 2:30pm and at the latest i start my workout at 4pm before them gym is even busy.on the weekends i go at 9am, for the same reasons. i have found that saturday mornings the only busy part of the gym is the cardio equipment! i've never really had trouble doing crossfit stuff (due to busy-ness) except for now, so i'm guessing it's all the new years people, which i am sure will die down in the next month or two.

tim, dan you are both right i need a home gym! the hard part is that i have a 1000sqft apartment on the 3rd floor! i have zero room and our neighbors below complain about us walking...i can't imagine if i was actually doing burpess or cleans lol. anyway, b/f and i are discussing buying a place and i've made a pro's and con's list between house or condo. the only pro for me on the house side is i could build a garage gym! :

oh also i've given up on making protein muffins. i tried minime's muffin idea and that didn't work out so well for me. then i took the recipe i iused last week and added 8 scoops of whey and boy that didn't workout so well. the muffins puffed up waaaaay too much and were rock hard. (i only baked them 1/2 as long as the recipe called for too!) i've come to the conculsion that whey protein (or atleast a larger volume) does not bake well! there has got tobe some way to add protein to these damn muffins!

other then that i had a low key weekend. spent all day today infront of the tv watching all the programs i DVR'd over the week. it's been lovely.

food:

friday: rest day and cheat meal

carbs: 219g 41%
protein: 180g 38%
fat: 45g 21%

total cals: 1973

saturday: workout day

carbs: 174g 33%
protein: 169g 38%
fat: 56g 29%

total cals: 1827

sunday: rest day

carbs: 175g 35%
protein: 153g 37%
fat: 53g 29%

total cals: 1710

cals havebeen pretty high all weekend, but i have been soooo frecking hungry!

OK, so I'm eating Mr. P's cookies and drinking GG's vino! Wht's next? Eating MMe's chocolate?:

Rest and eat! You deserve it.

My bran muffin recipe should be on here somewhere. I added a cup of egg'n whey powder to it and although it was dry, it did not alter the satisfaction too much.

hey gymgirl! that sucks about your gym and that rude woman, but your workouts look great anyway! that is why xfit is near impossible in my gym. I couldnt try to take more than one peice of equip at once I wouldnt get away with it! A home gym would be so cool! I'd love a small one just for xfit, and could still go to the regular gym as well.

You call those high calories you should see mine

wow i need to strike that! right after i typed this my trainer called and we went out with a friend of his for a beer. so now i have had alcohol, and it tasted damn good too. my trainer knows his beer and we had some stuff that one regular glass is like 3 beers...it was yummy. we then went to his house to check out his garage gym, which freckin rocks! he has a squat rack, a punching bag, two pull-up bars, rings...we played around on the rings, and i've learned i cannot do a muscle up...but i did do about 20 pull-ups so i got some exercise in. i tried to do wall balls with his homemade ball (which weighs 30lbs!) i tossed it up but could not catch it...lol stupid ball bent my thumb and almost knocked me on my butt. lol.
it makes me really want a home gym, i had so much fun on those rings!

and now i have a serious case of the monday's. anyone else get that dread/knot in your stomach feeling come sunday around 3pm when you know the weekend is over and you have to sit at work for 5 more days until another weekend? 7 hours to go!:

cardio:
2 mile run at 0.5% incline
800m warm-up
400m at 7.8
400m at 6.3
400m at 7.9
400m at 6.3
400m at 8.0
400m at 6.3

i was wiped out after this. for somereason it is easier on saturdays and much harder after a long boring day at work.

workout:

"Angie"

For time:
100 Pull-ups
100 Push-ups
100 Sit-ups
100 Squats

time: 21:31

as rx'd...finally! no subs no scaling! first date with "angie", she's a tough girl, but I've met worse. kipping pull-ups, strict push-ups, sit-ups on decline bench, squats booty do lowest part of decline bench (maybe 6 inches from the ground....almost ATG!

pull-ups: 10 min damn the pull-ups.
push-ups around 5:30
sit-ups: around 3min
squats: around 3min

legs were buring. we dont have a straight across pull-ups bar and all my pull-ups are always palms facing each other (parallel grip?) i hadn't done them on a straight across bar in years and when i tried them last night at trainers house they were so much easier for me that way! i wish we had a real bar at the gym.

Nice job as usual gymgirl.

I haven't seen "Angie" in a long time. I might be ready for her in May after my busy work season. Glad you are keeping "her" occupied until I'm ready for her.

great job gymgirl! we dont have a straight bar either but you could put the smith bar up to the highest notch and do them on that? i dont know if it would handle your weight though, being that you are so fat and all

thanks guys. pierini angie will be waiting for you in may, between JDR and myself yesterday she should be able to hold out until then.

hey, minime! i've tried pull-ups on the highest notch of the smith machine but it is a little low for me and hard to kip...plus that damn bar is too thick! i like the skinny pull-up bar! good thing my fat arse didn't break the bar though! lol

p.s. my frecking forarms/elbows are soooooooooo sore. i'm icing my sub scap right now and will probably need to ice the forearm next.

tomorrow i go back to my physical therapist for some trigger point therapy! i've read how people with tendonitis and shoulder problems tried everything and trigger point stuff was the only thing that helped, keep your fingers crossed that this stuff works for me!

trainer day! he must be mad at me or something because he really kicked my booty today.

today's WOD was deadlift 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 but we decided to do a 5x5 instead. i'm a little off my rotation (skipped the 3x12)

5x5 circuit: about 85% of max for DL and 75% for shoulder press

deadlift: 135x5, 135x5 (4,1) 135x5, 135x5, 135x5 (3,1,1)

shoulder press: 65x5, 55x5, 55x5, 55x5, 55x5

major grip issues on broken sets of Deads. 1st set of SP was rough, rest was pretty easy. probably could have done 60x5, but shoulders and forearms so sore from yesterdays pull-ups.

i thought we were doing more strength but then he says, 'lets do some metcon!" i said....

For time:

400m run (7.6)
50 sit-ups
25 deadlifts, 95lbs
50 walking lunge steps
800m run (7.6 down to 7.2 then to 7.4)
50 walking lunge steps
25 deadlifts, 95lbs
50 sit-ups
400m run (8.0)

time: 20:51

then laid down for sweat angel time! DL---->walking lunge--->run---> walking lunge---->deadlifts= PAIN in the butt, literally.

i've noticed now that I am home, some blisters on the inside of my hands by the knuckle area...i think that's from losing my grip on the DL, around the 4th rep the bar would be sliding down and i'd be holding on with the tips of my fingers. ha i also dropped the bar down really loud after one of my 5x5 sets..hehe the owner and everyone at the front desk looked over to see what the hell happened. hopefully i won't get my trainer in trouble..he told me not to worry about it and to drop it louder. lol, he'd already gotten in trouble today for using the assisted dip machine too long with another client.

wow! strength! 135 for all five sets, that is awesome. Your grip is better than mine, i couldnt even get one unbroken set with 132 the other day.

And after that you did metcon - and 50 reps of 95lb deadlifts?! your trainer is sadistic!

oh that happens to me too, hanging onto the bar with my fingers... i worry that i will injure myself in that quest for 5 unbroken reps... hanging on the bar with the tips of my sweaty fingers...

i like that metcon workout actually, i have put it on my mental to-do list.

thanks everyone! that workout kicked my butt. today is going to be somethiing short and sweet. maybe "Brat" after my physical therapy session.

yes my trainer is sadistic! when doing the metcon part yesterday on the last set of 25 deads i stopped for a quick break after 10 reps and my trainer says 'what are you doing, why are you stopping' i tell him i just need a quick break..he says to me with a straight face "from what?" LOL

i worry about injuring myself too especially when the bar slips like that. i'd rather break the set then hurt myself!

Brat...can you imagine what the owner would do if i were to bring chalk into the gym lol. chalk, sweat angles, and the marks on the wall from my HSPU's...I'll definitely get kicked out!
